The iconic Husky
The iconic Husky jacket was invented in 1965 by Steve Gulyas, a retired American aviator, and his wife Edna. Skilled in thermal outerwear, with a focus on hunting and fishing apparel, they began to produce the first pieces once they moved to Tostock, in England.
The name Husky comes from their dog’s breed who was always together with the colonel Gulysa during his countryside walks. The quilted nylon jacket became immediately one of the favourite outerwear pieces of the British Royals, wearing it as a sportswear item due to its wearability and resistant features.
A real must-have used by the Queen Elizabeth and the whole Royal Family during their horseback ridings, transforming the jacket with the velvet collar into a recognisable symbol of the English style.
3 IN 1 HOODED FULL-ZIP JACKET Hooded full-zip jacket 3 in 1 full of details: two big pockets with velvet flaps, internal customizations and functional trims. The image is completed by a quilted satchel bag that can be attached to the garment using its branded key ring.

Following a trend research carried out for vintage stores (and not only) in the major European capitals, I designed and developed this lifestyle line for a young consumer (18-30 years): proposal of models on Ai, development of color chart, compilation of data sheets and prototypes/samples review. Continuous communication with both foreign and Italian suppliers. Drawing up all the outfits and constant presence during the seasonal photoshooting.

Attached to these fun and colorful items, I had in management some little packs that followed the same concept: one of them is an entire beachwear line characterized by rainbow theme graphic artworks.

For this season, the strong trend of color-block, led me to develop this apparel line for a young consumer (18-30 years): proposal of models on Ai, development of color chart, compilation of data sheets and prototypes/samples review. Continuous communication with both foreign and Italian suppliers. Drawing up all the outfits and constant presence during the seasonal photo shooting. Attached to these items, I also developed an outdoor capsule.

Meanwhile for the following season, the market presented a great demand for tie&dye trend. I can say that it was a very funny and constructive line to follow, especially for the decisions taken for prints and dye/wash trials.

During this work experience I also had the opportunity to interface with major European marketplaces, which seasonally require entire projects designed and developed exclusively for them. In the design team I was the reference figure for SMU, a task that I have always enjoyed because of the free creativity and the direct confrontation with the client in terms of style and aesthetics of the product. Also for Zalando I made my proposal of models on Ai, development of color chart, compilation of data sheets and prototypes/samples review. Continuous communication with both foreign and Italian suppliers.

CAPSULE F O R
SPRING SUMMER 2020 CO-BRANDING CAPSULE The collaboration with the apparel & accessories brand of the number one influencer in the world has certainly been enlightening and thanks to which I have grown a lot professionally. I, along with my team, constantly interfaced with Chiara Ferragni Collection’s design team, always trying to find the best compromise in terms of number and design of garments, customizations, color assignment and the whole development. I assisted Champion’s Head of Design in the drafting of the models design, the compilation of the technical sheets, the sample clearance and the photoshoot.

Concept When someone asked me “How would you describe yourself in 3 words?” - without even meditating - I would reply: order, precision and insane meticulousness. For my thesis project I decided to incorporate my personality into the inspirational concept in order to be able to translate it into a fashion product. The starting point comes from reading the bestselling book “ The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by the Japanese Marie Kondo, from which I learned and confirmed many concepts in which I have always found myself in agreement: tidying up is first of all a mental act that positively affects the psychological sphere, thus a metamorphosis is carried out that will lead to the beginning of a new life. Tidying up, therefore, is not just an aesthetic question, a cleansing of the shape, but a mental act ... such as when we take a blank notepad and draw up the 10 fundamental objectives of our life: precisely because we put them in order this helps us to focus them better. External order, which creates internal order. So through my womenswear collection I want to communicate the metamorphosis of a pre-existing order that always tends to grow and reach the absolute. In the development of the fashion product, I was mainly inspired by the methodology implemented by Kondo in making order in one’s life related to my personal one: how to fold garments, overlapping, functionality and so on!
