BSRC DROP-IN SPORTS

BSRC SPORTS & ACTIVITIES For more information and a schedule of drop-in sports & activities, please visit the BSRC website at www.beaumont.ab.ca/267 Please note: As of October 1st, 2020, in order to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, individuals must pre-book prior to attending a drop-in session. The sport/activity schedule is subject to change weekly, so please check the BSRC Drop-in section at www.clickit.beaumont. ab.ca prior to visiting the facility! There are maximum capacity limits for timeslots due to the space available and COVID-19 gathering restrictions. Participants should be pre-registering within groups of their family or dedicated cohorts. Arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your reserved time (you will be granted access at the start time of your activity), and leave the facility immediately after your reservation time ends. Please maintain physical distancing at all times. All pre-booked timeslots are 60 minutes in length unless otherwise specified. Drop-In sports and activities include: GYMNASIUM

IMPORTANT NOTES:

STICK & PUCK PROGRAMS

• All Patrons must show proof of payment by having a wristband visible at all times.

• Adult/Child Stick & Puck is for all adults and children, supervision follows the general rules of the facility (Children 7 years or younger must be supervised by a responsible individual 14 years or older). The responsible individual must be able to see and access the child.

• Patrons 7 years of age and younger must be actively supervised by a parent or guardian 14 years of age and older. • During COVID-19, participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment for drop-in sports and activities. However, there will be BSRC equipment available for the scheduled drop-in sport or activity at that time. Users are expected to clean equipment after use with the disinfectant wipes provided, and put into the cart labeled “Used Equipment”. The equipment in this cart is then cleaned after by our staff members. ICE ARENA SPECIFIC: Public Skating • CSA approved helmets are strongly recommended for all Public Skating timeslots • Only participants wearing skates can go out on to the ice surface. • Sticks & Pucks are not permitted during Public Skate. • Skating aids must be approved by facility staff to ensure it is safe to use and will not damage the ice nor facility. Skating aids must not have sharp edges or points.

• There are NO organized games/shinny during this time. Slap-shots, rough play, and pick-up games are not permitted. Users will be asked to leave the ice surface if they do not follow these regulations. • The timeslot is reserved for children/adults to work on their basic hockey skills in a safe and respectful environment. Stick & Puck is a program intended for skill development and not intended for formal groups or hockey teams, formal team coaching is not permitted. • Participants 17 years and under must wear full hockey equipment - which includes: a. b. c. d. e. f.

• Adults are required to wear a CSA certified helmet, gloves, and skates, along with a regulation hockey stick. 11
