COLLECTION AND CO-CREATES CAMPAIGN PHOTOGRAPHED BY TYLER MITCHELL FOR SPRING 2020, SINGER-SONGWRITER JUSTINE SKYE HAS TEAMED UP WITH H&M TO DESIGN A CAPSULE COLLECTION FOR THE FESTIVAL SEASON. THE COLLECTION FEATURES BODY-CON AND OVERSIZED SILHOUETTES WITH A MIX OF SPORTY PIECES IN SOFT NEON YELLOW ORGANZA AND SILVER METALLIC. SKYE IS ALSO THE FACE OF THE CAMPAIGN, WHICH SHE CO-CREATED TOGETHER WITH INCREDIBLE STYLIST ADE SAMUEL AND RENOWNED PHOTOGRAPHER TYLER MITCHELL. THE JUSTINE SKYE X H&M COLLECTION WILL BE AVAILABLE IN SELECTED H&M STORES AND ONLI “WITH THIS FESTIVAL COLLECTION, WE WANTED SOMETHING THAT WAS NEW AND FRESH TO THE FESTIVAL SCENE. USUALLY FESTIVAL IS VERY BOHO SO WE THOUGHT THE PIECES SHOULD REPRESENT SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I’M A BIG ADVOCATE FOR BEING COMFORTABLE NO MATTER WHAT – THAT’S HOW I FEEL EMPOWERED THROUGH MY LOOK. WHEN YOU GO TO A FESTIVAL, YOU’RE ALWAYS MOVING AROUND SO I CREATED PIECES THAT WERE COMFORTABLE BUT STILL EXTREMELY CUTE AND ALL GOES TOGETHER,” SAYS JUSTINE SKYE. “IT’S BEEN SUCH A FUN AND CREATIVE PROCESS WORKING TOGETHER WITH JUSTINE SKYE FOR THIS H&M FESTIVAL COLLECTION. WE WANTED TO CREATE MODERN FESTIVAL PIECES WITH A BIT OF EDGE THAT WERE EASY TO MIX AND MATCH, AND WITH A FUN BLEND OF SPORTY AND FEMININE SILHOUETTES. ADDING THE SOFT NEON YELLOW AND SILVER METALLIC CREATED THAT EYE-POPPING FRESHNESS WE WERE AFTER AND NOW WE CAN’T WAIT FOR THE FESTIVAL SEASON TO START,” SAYS EMILY BJÖRKEHEIM, H&M’S HEAD OF DESIGN DIVIDED. THE JUSTINE SKYE X H&M COLLECTION CAPTURES THE MODERN FESTIVAL CLOTHING VIBE AND FEATURES STREETWEAR AND ATHLEISURE-INSPIRED PIECES SUCH AS NEON BIKER SHORTS AND CROP TOP, MATCHING SILVER METALLIC NYLON SPORT WINDBREAKER AND SHORTS WITH PANELLED DETAILS AND DRAWSTRING WAIST, A SOFTLY TAILORED SHIRT AND SHORTS SET MADE FROM ORGANZA, AS WELL AS A CROPPED LONGSLEEVE METALLIC SHIRT AND VINTAGE STYLE T-SHIRT WITH JUSTINE HERSELF AS A MOTIF. ACCESSORIESINCLUDE BUCKET HATS IN NEON AND A BANDANA SCARF. ALONGSIDE THE COLLECTION, JUSTINE SKYE COCREATED THE CAMPAIGN WITH INFLUENTIAL PHOTOGRAPHER TYLER MITCHELL BEHIND THE CAMERA, AND WITH STYLING BY THE MUCH HYPED AND IN-DEMAND ADE SAMUEL.

PREMIUM CATEGORY EXPANDS WITH LUXURY BRANDS: ALBERTA FERRETTI, MOSCHINO COUTURE, AND PROENZA SCHOULER WHITE LABEL ADDED ZALANDO HOME TO EUROPE’S BIGGEST MILLENNIAL AND GENZ CONSUMER BASE WITH GROUP PREDICTED TO MAKE 55 PERCENT OF ALL LUXURY PURCHASES BY 2025 ZALANDO DEEPENS ITS INVESTMENTS INTO PREMIUM AND AIMS TO TRIPLE THE GMV OF THE PREMIUM AND LUXURY SEGMENT BY 2023. STARTING WITH LUXURY FASHION BRANDS LIKE MOSCHINO COUTURE, ALBERTA FERRETTI, AND PROENZA SCHOULER WHITE LABEL, ZALANDO WILL DOUBLE ITS ASSORTMENT OF PREMIUM AND LUXURY FASHION ITEMS IN THE SAME PERIOD. WITH THE NEW INITIATIVE, ZALANDO MAKES A STRONG MOVE INTO THE €38 BILLION PREMIUM MARKET, WHICH REPRESENTS NINE PERCENT OF THE EUROPEAN FASHION MARKET. ACCORDING TO INDUSTRY STUDIES, THE ONLINE SHARE OF PREMIUM AND LUXURY FASHION GOODS IN EUROPE IS PROJECTED TO GROW. WITHIN ZALANDO, THE PREMIUM CATEGORY, INCLUDING WHOLESALE AND THE PARTNER PROGRAM, GREW BY 35 PERCENT FROM 2018 TO 2019, AND ZALANDO EXPECTS THE CATEGORY TO CONTINUE TO GROW ABOVE AVERAGE. OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS, ZALANDO WANTS TO ROUGHLY TRIPLE ITS PREMIUM AND LUXURY GMV WITH AN ANNUAL GROWTH RATE OF ABOUT 30 PERCENT. THE STRONG DEMAND IS ESPECIALLY DRIVEN BY YOUNGER CUSTOMERS, WHO TEND TO SHOP HIGH-TO-LOW OUTFIT MIXES WITH LUXURY ITEMS. “ZALANDO HAS THE LARGEST CUSTOMER BASE OF GENZ AND MILLENNIALS IN EUROPE. INDIVIDUAL BRAND STORES ALLOW BRAND PARTNERS TO INDIVIDUALLY ADAPT THEIR PRESENTATION IN THE ZALANDO FASHION STORE. ZALANDO WILL FURTHER EXPAND THE CATEGORY BY CREATING AN INSPIRING AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE FOR BOTH CUSTOMERS AND BRANDS; EXTENDING THE EXPERIENCE FAR BEYOND THE GARMENT AND TOWARDS THE FIRST CONTACT WITH THE BRAND ON SITE. PRESENTLY, THE PREMIUM EXPERIENCE IS ELEVATED THROUGH DEDICATED CONTENT AND EXCLUSIVE ONSITE CAMPAIGNS. IN THE FUTURE, ZALANDO PLANS TO IMPROVE LENA-SOPHIE RÖPER, BUYING DIRECTOR PREMIUM & LUXURY: “PREMIUM IS ONE OF THE FASTEST-GROWING BUSINESS ENTITIES WITHIN ZALANDO. THE SUPERVISORY BOARD AT HUGO BOSS AG HAS APPOINTED DR. HEIKO SCHÄFER TO THE MANAGING BOARD EFFECTIVE MARCH 16, 2020. AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO) HE WILL BE ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PORTFOLIOS GLOBAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND SOURCING, OWN MANUFACTURING, OPERATIONS, AS WELL AS SUSTAINABILITY AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT. HEIKO SCHÄFER LAUNCHED HIS CAREER IN 2002 AT BOSTON CONSULTING GROUP, WHERE HE PRIMARILY ADVISED CLIENTS FROM THE CONSUMER GOODS AND RETAIL SECTORS. IN 2008 HE JOINED ADIDAS AG WHERE, AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HE MOST RECENTLY DROVE SIGNIFICANT INCREASES IN THE SPEED AND EFFICIENCY OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. IN 2015 HE BECAME A MEMBER OF THE MANAGING BOARD AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AT THE TOM TAILOR GROUP, WHERE HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR SOURCING, LOGISTICS AND IT. HIS ACHIEVEMENTS THERE INCLUDED SUBSTANTIAL COST IMPROVEMENTS AND ADVANCEMENTS IN THE DIGITALIZATION PROCESS.
