It’s a scarf. It’s a woman. It’s Audrey Soie. One of the most exciting debuts in Paris Fashion week was a presentation of Audrey Soie [ôdrē sua] scarves and foulards collection. Her scarf is the epitome of luxury, authenticity, and romance. An object that’s free of outlandish logos and a loud look-at-me aesthetic, the scarf doesn’t let its wearer forget the absolute sense of lavishness and appreciation for craftsmanship. Audrey Soie it’s not only a trademark. It is a vivid personality of the creator spotlighting sensual side of woman’s accessories. Her exquisite paintings depict love stories and simple beauty of nature whereas a tasteful mixture of colors is a treasure for a last minute envy-me look. On a way to work, a scarf becomes a must as it easily folds in a purse. Like most people, we take for granted how a rich pattern of a scarf can make our look unforgettable. Wearing Audrey Soie means being proud of the cause it represents, the sensuality of a modern woman and a story behind. In the heart of presentation of Audrey Soie was Kaleidoscope collection which tells stories about little oblong tube called this way. Small colored glasses are reflected from the mirrors, creating unique patterns and elegant geometric ornaments. Audrey personified the image of a miraculous kaleidoscope, but instead of the colored glass, she used as puzzles elements… butterflies! Those, depicted on the foulards of “Kaleidoscope” series, exist also in nature. Every butterfly in my scarves has a name, meaning and is depicted realistically. Those in concentric rings have also a sacred meaning representing aura or energy waves pulsing from a source. Ornament of this type is used since ancient times to restore inner energy, like in mandalas. In practice, “Kaleidoscope” collection unifies several lines: square foulards as well as silk, cashmere and viscose scarves and a little pocket unisex neckerchief. Foulards from Kaleidoscope collection are available in the colors Royal Red, Bipolar Black, Lively Green and Delicate Pink. Made of soft silk satin they are a true pleasure to wear around the neck. Should it be a classical outfit or a little black dress, shirt and jeans, foulard by Audrey Soie will represent its own distinction. What are the general trends in scarf fashion? Couple of decades ago, women wore scarves only with outwear, whereas today you can see young ladies wearing summer dresses, light blouses and shorts wisely combined with this stylish accessory. Do Paris Fashion week suggest us an image of a popular scarf of 2018? Stylists recommend wearing vivid outfits with reach palette of colors, which should be well matched, with those of a scarf. It is not in vain that bright colors enjoy such popularity. These accessories make an image of a modern woman more expressive, attractive and cheerful. Pastel colors are out of time. This year moderate muffled tones of your favorite blues and pinks will be on the crest of a wave. They give a modern twist to a classical look. Speaking of which you may pay attention to our “Dead Crocodile” style in silk, cashmere and viscose fulfillment. How did you come up with such, let me put it, unusual name for those truly beautiful shades? Aggressive marketing invaded fashion world. Advertising imposes plenty of good-better-the best goods. We decided to make this joke of our most trendy style this season making an analogy with loosing its color crocodile’s body and flesh. Somehow it was widely appreciated by our customers. “Dead crocodile” style is on our best selling list. Is that due to the color or the name? I believe the combination of both was a firing combination. It’s like in a cake - you can’t skip an ingredient. Where do you get ideas for your art? Ideas are a synthesis of acquired experiences, but most of the ideas, of course, are the result of a hard work. I have tons of unfinished sketches in my studio and most of them will remain this way. I also willingly present and sell most of my artworks. I am interested in what I am doing, not in what I have done in the past. What is happiness by Audrey Soie? Happiness is when you have a direction to apply your craziness.
