GENERAL OVERVIEW The Consulate General of Mexico in coordination with Ollin Society and several other Mexican community organizations and business associations would like to invite you to be part of our Mexican independence celebration by sponsoring the “MexicoFest 2013” in Vancouver, British Columbia. It will be a great exposure opportunity with the thousands of attendees and viewers. “MexicoFest 2013” celebrates its sixth year with 12 days of cultural activities, starting on September 5th and finishing on September 15th, 2013, for this occasion, featuring the paradise between two seas “Baja California Sur”. The activities will be announced by local television, radio, newspapers and other media, both in English and Spanish, as well as some Chinese publications. All information regarding the Mexicofest will be available in the Mexicofest’s website and mobile App as well as in the website of the Mexican Consulate in Vancouver. We anticipate having over 15,000 people attend these events and that over 1 million people will be informed though different media about the MexicoFest.

Culinary Celebration Mexican Restaurants in Vancouver On December 2010, UNESCO declared Traditional Mexican Cuisine as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Given this recognition, MexicoFest 2013 honours our traditions and for 12 days during the month of September; several restaurants in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area will feature the delectable cuisine of Baja California Sur. Vancouver Convention Centre - Hall B The Fiesta Mexico Independencia 2013 is the biggest event taking place during the MexicoFest. This event has activities for everybody and it is open to the general public at no cost. Activities include: kids zone, Mexican food vendors, live music, traditional Mexican dances, businesses’ booths, cultural pavilions and more. For this year’s Fiesta Mexico Independencia we are bringing from Mexico “Aleks Syntek”; a renowned Mexican singer, song writer and producer. Aleks Syntek has won three Latin Grammy awards, five MTV awards and three billboard awards. We expect over 10,000 people to attend this event.

One 1/4 Page Color ad: $300 Advertising and booth spaces are offered on a first come first served basis when all fees are fully paid and depending on availability. A deposit of 50% must be paid by June 28th, 2013 in order to reserve your space. A final payment of 50% must be paid by August 2nd, 2013 in order to avoid cancellations of your space by the Mexicofest organizing committee and late payment charges. Any request for ads after July 28th, 2013 must be paid in full by August 2nd, 2013. No cancellations or refunds after June 28th for deposits and after August 2nd for full fees paid. The Customer will pay interest on any late payment at the monthly interest rate of 1.5 percent plus a $20 late payment fee.

AGREEMENT BOOTH AT FIESTA MEXICO INDEPENDENCE It is agreed as follows: It is hereby acknowledged that the Booth Vendor has entered into an Agreement with OLLIN Society and The Consulate General of Mexico (the Event Organizers), to take part in and/or supply goods to, or sell goods at the event known as MexicoFest Fiesta Mexico Independencia 2013 on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 and during the hours of 12:00pm to 8:00pm. In addition, the Vendor agrees to pay the required fees, follow payment schedules and abide by the terms and conditions of operation as set out on the attached Schedule ‘A’ by the MexicoFest 2013 Event Organizers. SCHEDULE A: RULES & REGULATIONS OLLIN Society and the Consulate General of Mexico (MexicoFest - Fiesta Mexico Independencia 2013) SCHEDULE “A” RULES & REGULATIONS FOR BOOTH VENDORS The Event Organizers require that all Vendors adhere to the following: 1. Final assignment of booth spaces will be at the discretion of the Event Organizers and we reserve the right to reassign space assigned to a vendor, for any reason. 2. The sale of food and/or beverages will be limited to food vendors, please inquire about our packages. 3. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, booth displays will be confined to the allocated contracted space. The Event Organizers must Approve in advance booth displays and will dismantle any Apparatus, structures, or signs that have not been previously submitted for Approval or are located outside the area of the assigned space. 4. Each Vendor is expected and agrees to maintain the allotted space in a professional, clean and safe manner and to remove all related garbage and debris, on a regular basis, to the garbage disposal facilities provided. No waste is to be disposed of on the grounds of the Plaza. Evidence of such action in or around the Vendor’s space could result in a fine. 5. Sharing or subletting of space is absolutely prohibited. This agreement cannot be altered, changed, modified or otherwise transferred by either party without consent of both parties and shall not be considered a joint venture or partnership between vendors and the sponsoring organization. 6. Setting up and Load-in time will be confirmed closer to the date. However, no sales are to be conducted outside of the authorized hours of 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm on the day of the Event. 7. Spaces are offered on a first come first served basis when all fees are fully paid and depending on availability. 8. OLLIN Society and The Consulate General of Mexico are not responsible for any equipment or personal property left on site by a Vendor. While there will be general security patrolling the Event site, Vendors are responsible for the security of all of their personal property.
SCHEDULE A: MORE... 9. Vendors shall submit ID – Driver’s license, or other picture ID to Event Organizers. 10. All merchandise and equipment must be placed within the confines of each Vendor’s rented tent space. 11. Absolutely no fees will be refunded if the Vendor cancels participation at the Event after July 15th. Any Appeal for consideration, will be at the recommendation of the Event Organizers. 12. The Applicant undertakes to observe all the rules and regulations, which are imposed by the Event Organizers and its agents, the Vancouver Convention Center and the City of Vancouver and their representatives generally or specifically in respect of the space which is being used. 13. Absolutely no alcohol or drugs are permitted in a Vendor’s booth or on site at any time. Violator rights and privileges to participate at the Event will be immediately revoked for this and future Events of the OLLIN Society and The Consulate General of Mexico. 14. In signing this Application form, a Vendor hereby agrees to and indemnify and hold harmless and defend the Event volunteers or employees from and against any and all liability, responsibility, loss, damage, cost or expenses of any kind including but not limited to costs, interest, or attorney’s fees which T&TCSBC may incur, suffer, be put to pay or be required to pay, incident to or arising directly/indirectly from any intentional or negligent act or omission by the Vendor. 15. The Event Organizers reserve the right to revoke the privileges of admission and sales at the MexicoFest of any Vendor violating this agreement. The Event Organizers will determine violations and there will be no refunds of any money deposited, or due to the Vendor. The Vendor is assumed to have read these Rules & Regulations for participation at the MexicoFest - Fiesta Mexico Independencia 2013 and that by submitting the Vendor’s Registration Form and signed Agreement; the Vendor confirms the acceptance of all terms and conditions as set out by the Event Organizers.
