COMPASSION

Compass Group developed the comprehensive initiative focused on safety, care and innovation in response to the rapidly changing needs of guests and clients. Designed to give customers peace of mind as they return to Compass Group cafés and facilities, COMPASSION combines the “Compass” brand with the “passion” inherent in our people and the entire organization, taking safety a step further to enhance the entire guest experience. Through programs designed by leading food safety and public health experts, and new technology that continues to meet and exceed guest expectations, COMPASSION is built on three core pillars: Ensure Safety, Deliver Care and Take Action. A core component of the COMPASSION program is a new COVID-19-specific training developed in consultation with the Cleveland Clinic and mandated to all associates. This unique educational opportunity empowers all Compass Group associates to demonstrate their commitment to safety, in addition to the “Culture of Care” hospitality for which Compass Group is known.

SPACE & DISTANCING SOLUTIONS

DIS TANCING SOLUTIONS

Social Distancing is how we now define physical and psychological safety. We have a renewed focus on creating environments that are safe, healthy and embrace well-being for all. Our primary focus is understanding café environments of the future to create new strategies around design that ensure occupant well-being and also start to future-proof environments to be better positioned for pandemic events like COVID-19.

As humans, we thrive when we are connected—to a mission, to a cause, to a place, to one another. Our environments matter because they facilitate these connections. As such, the café of the future will consider how people want to engage with others and with their space. We need to give guests guidance and control over their social distancing as they interact and nourish, hence the need to diversify how we connect to food.
