BEDFORD TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB
Limited
Offering a wide variety of services, including:
October has been a month of change at the Eagles as a new management structure took the helm and new exciting players joined the club. Gary Setchell is the new man in charge, he comes with a vast knowledge of football, both as a player with EFL clubs such as Rushden & Diamonds, and management with seven years and two promotions at Kings Lynn. Darren Edey joins as his number two. Also joined is former Peterborough United striker Craig Mackail-Smith, who is already beginning to form a partnership upfront with another Peterborough old boy Rene Howe. On the pitch, after a shaky start to the season, things are turning around under Setchell’s leadership, with a recent 2-0 win at Biggleswade FC and a 4-1 home win against North Leigh which saw goals from Mackail-Smith, Howe, Matt Harriot and new centre back Charley Sanders. Next at the Eyrie its local derby time as Kempston Rovers visit in a tie which is likely to reach the grounds current Covid-19 capacity of 400 and promises to be a lively and entertaining encounter on Saturday 31st October. That is followed on Tuesday 3rd November by the visit of promotion favourites Halesowen, before another tough home encounter against Bedworth on Saturday 21st November. Tickets and updates for all matches can be found on the club’s official website at www.bedfordeagles.net. 42 Please mention bedslife when responding to adverts
