Beginnings A WALK THROUGH THE BOOK OF GENESIS

Beginnings A Walk through the Book of Genesis

Summer 2016 Worship Series Sunday Mornings 9:00 & 11:11am

All summer long here at Bellaire, we will be exploring some of the great stories and characters found in the book of Genesis—stories and characters that show us how it all began. We invite you to join us for worship every Sunday morning, and we also hope that you will use this

Beginnings June 19 — Creation June 26 — Cain and Abel July 3 — Abraham and Sarah July 10 — Abraham and Isaac July 17 — Isaac and Rebekah July 24 — Jacob and Esau July 31 — Joseph The Games August 7 — Running to Win August 14 — Teamwork and the Body of Christ August 21 — The First Will Be Last

book to immerse yourself ever deeper into these stories.

How to use this book This book contains a daily reading guide that will help you work through the book of Genesis as well as some companion stories. We hope that these daily readings will help you stay connected with God and with all the people of Bellaire even if you’re on the road this summer. You’ll notice that each week focuses on a particular theme found in the book of Genesis. So, in addition to daily scripture reading, you’ll find a work of art and the words to a hymn or song that will enable you to reflect on that week’s scripture reading in a different way. Finally, we have included a reflection question for each week. Take some time to think through how you would answer that question. Use it as a conversation starter at church or around the dinner table. Or use it as a guide for your daily prayer.
