San Francisco Township Annual Meeting and Election Notice San Francisco Township will hold its Annual Election on March 14, 2014. The polls will be open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The following items will be on the ballot: One Supervisor (three-year term), and Clerk (two-year term). Following the closing of the polls will be the Annual Town Meeting, at approximately 8:15 PM. Jeffrey Allen Oberholtzer was arrested at his house on the 300 block of Shea Circle Feb. 20. He is formally charged with fifth-degree sale of marijuana with no remuneration, a felony. Oberholtzer, 43, posted a noncash bond at a bail hearing Monday. His first appearance is slated for March 31. Feb. 20, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police officers, armed with a warrant, arrived at Oberholtzer’s house to search it. The criminal charge says officers smelled marijuana as they approached the house. After answering the door, Oberholtzer reportedly told them there was “a little bit” in the house and a pipe upstairs. They also found marijuana seed and drug paraphernalia. In the upstairs bathroom, they found three glass containers and a plastic container that cumulatively contained just over one-tenth of a pound of marijuana. In the basement freezer, police found 12 jars containing approximately 1.1 pounds of marijuana. Oberholtzer told police he purchased the equipment and seed online. He claimed he was not a dealer and that he provided his daughter and her boyfriend with the drug, the complaint states. Oberholtzer also told them his wife knew about his growing marijuana but has nothing to do with it.

At 10:11 p.m., a vehicle was stopped near the intersection of North Chestnut and East Main streets for an equipment violation. The driver was cited for driving after license revocation. A vehicle was stopped on the 200 block of South Cedar Street at 11:36 p.m. for a traffic violation. The driver was also arrested for fourth-degree DWI. Saturday, Feb. 22 A person reported a vehicle in a ditch on the 800 block of South Elm Street at 5:50 a.m. A man was arrested for fourthdegree DWI. A person on the 600 block of West Forest Street called for medical help at 1:13 p.m. A man was enduring severe leg pain. A person on the 700 block of West Forest Street reported at 8:47 p.m. an unwanted guest. The undesirable guest, an inebriated woman, was issued a no-trespassing warning good for a year and then transported to the Brown County detox facility. Sunday, Feb. 23 A woman on the 300 block of North Ash Street reported at 10:35 a.m. the theft of money. The money was later found and returned to its owner.
