days that lie ahead for all of these young men. Baseball brings with it a sense of freshness and renewal. Spring is arriving and the sights and smells that go with it are those of trees blooming, fresh cut grass, and leather ball gloves. The players have been putting in many hours of work during the dark, cold days of winter in order to be ready for this moment. It is a joyous occasion that is hard to be replaced by any other moment. I would like to thank all of those involved that help make Whitewater Baseball a successful program. First the players are to be commended for all they do representing Whitewater High School. As a student-athlete, these young men not only put in a tremendous amount of time and effort on the field, but they also have to put in a great deal of time and effort in the classroom. Academically our students are among the best and brightest in the state and that does not happen by accident. It is an intentional effort on their part to make sure they are preparing themselves for their next stage in life outside of athletics. Next, our coaches are to be acknowledged for all they do to help these young men grow throughout the season. The amount of time they sacrifice from their own families to make a difference in the lives of others is honorable and appreciated. Finally, the families of all of the young men on the field today should be recognized for all you have done to get your son where they are today. Without your support and guidance none of this would be possible for them. Thank you for allowing us to have them in our program for a few years of their lives. In closing, I want to encourage you, if you have not done so already, to please consider becoming a member of the Whitewater Dugout Club. Without the financial and the physical support of this club, it would be extremely difficult and just short of impossible to have such a quality program. I thank each and every member of this club for your support. GO CATS!

On behalf of the Whitewater High School Baseball Staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2020 Baseball Season. Our Staff and players are very excited about this season and are looking forward to continuing the baseball traditions that the previous players, and alumni have set. Our team is geared to building upon the legacy that has been established at Whitewater High School. It is our goal to make everyone associated with Whitewater Wildcats Baseball proud not only of our accomplishments on the field, but also of what we accomplish in the classroom and in our community. We established a motto back in 2014 of APIVEO (Always Play IV Each Other). With this motto we are always working to play for the guy next to us. We strive to play a selfless brand of baseball, while encouraging our teammates in all situations. As we get ready to kickoff another great year of baseball our players would like to invite you out to see us play! We hope you can make it out to Wildcat Field. To those who have supported us in the past and to those who are supporting us now, to our sponsors, our community, our administration, our families and friends, we say THANK YOU! COACHING STAFF
WHITEWATER BASEBALL Rusty Bennett >> VARSITY HEAD COACH Coach Bennett was born in 1982. He played baseball at GA State from 2002 – 2005 where he received several distinguished awards: Honorable Mention Louisville Slugger Freshman, All American, All Conference, Baseball America All Conference and MVP Awards. He has coached for 12 years. His outstanding knowledge and love of the game has made the Whitewater HS Baseball team a successful powerhouse. Over the past five years, the Wildcats have been State Runner Up twice and have won 2 Region Championships. Coach Bennett was named Region Coach of the Year and State Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2015. Coach Bennett has been married for 8 years to the beautiful Georgia Bennett. They have three precious boys: Brody – 12 years old, Russell – 6 years old, and Austin – 4 years old.
