// 01 Our journey, like so many of the best British musicians, begins on the very streets that Jess grew up on in North London. Only a stone’s throw away from Alexandra Palace, it was right here that Jess’ starry-eyed ambitions first took hold. >>>>

// 03 “I grew up in North London, London’s the city that made me, shaped the musician that I’ve become today. No matter how much I travel, I love coming back here and hanging out in my hood.”

// 04 Alexandra Palace played a big part in Jess’ early years, hanging out in the park, going to gigs there, nothing out of the ordinary – despite her ambition and talent, dreams of actually playing there one day couldn’t have been further from her mind.

Maybe you’ll know it as Ally Pally, maybe you’ll know it as The People’s Palace, Alexandra’s Palace has gone by a lot of names over the 140 years it has stood for, braving two fires, hosting the world’s first public TV broadcast and gig after gig after gig in the process.

// 11 As the sun goes down and we call it a day in the studio, Jess shifts gears, changes clothes and shows us around some her favourite evening haunts in Soho. There’s a few familiar sights in the mix, but other than that, it’s all totally new to us, the perks of having a London local in tow…

We finish up at Dalston’s worst kept secret, Birthdays, an independent basement bar and venue that hosts some of the biggest parties on London’s club calendar. It’s a venue that has played host to a who’s who of acclaimed bands and artists. >>>>

// 13 “London’s a true 24 hour city, and when work’s over there’s always somewhere to go, a party or a club to check out. It’s an amazing city with so much going on, and I love the fact I can call it home.” >>>>
