Kristin celebrates success at Prizegiving
Kelea Wendelborn. Tomas Barrero Ortiz.
Kristin’s Senior School Prizegiving was an opportunity to celebrate outstanding student achievement during 2022.
More than 200 students from Years 11, 12 and 13 received awards for excellence in their sporting, cultural and service endeavours throughout the year. Students who received university scholarships were also acknowledged.
Among these awards are the nine Prestige Awards, which recognise excellence among Year 13 students.
The highest Prestige Award, the Foundation Cup for a student who exemplifies the Kristin spirit and values, was presented to Cece Jenkins.
Each year Kristin presents two Dux awards, one for NCEA and one for International Baccalaureate (IB). Tyler Jones was presented with the Stevens Awards for Academic Excellence for NCEA Dux of School while Henry Pinder was presented with the Claudia Wysocki Memorial Trophy for Academic Excellence for IB Dux of School. Kristin Senior School Principal David Boardman says: “Once again Kristin Senior School students have shown they are more than capable of achieving at exceptionally high levels in all areas of school life. These students have faced a lot of disruption over the last few years and their success is truly remarkable and testament to their spirit and determination. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
“For our Year 13 students, the Prizegiving marked the end of their Kristin journey. I have no doubt the class of 2022 will go on to achieve great things and we look forward to welcoming them back to our school as Alumni to inspire future generations of Kristin students.”
