West Midlands consultancy expands Stratford-upon-Avon team
Planning, design and development consultancy Marrons has further bolstered its Stratford-upon-Avon team with the appointment of Jack Barnes as an Assistant Planner.
Jack has joined Marrons from Cassidy + Ashton, where he worked on a range of planning statements, application types and site visits. He has also recently completed a master’s degree in civic design, town and regional planning, at the University of Liverpool.
Following a significant increase in demand for planning services in the West Midlands, in his new role, Jack will be responsible for helping to secure planning permissions for developers, landowners and homeowners.
Jack said: “Marrons is an excellent consultancy that is making a significant impact in the industry. I was attracted to Marrons because of its wide-ranging client base, array of different types of work, and its flexible and modern company culture.
“I am excited to contribute to the growth and success of the consultancy in the West Midlands through taking on more responsibility and working with clients directly to help them overcome their planning challenges, while also working towards my RTPI chartership.”
Jack will primarily be based at Marrons’ Stratford-upon-Avon hub but will be working with clients nationally.
The Stratford-upon-Avon team, which has more than doubled in size in 12 months, takes the lead in developing Marrons’ offering in the area, providing services including securing planning permission for development and promoting greenfield and brownfield land to meet future housing and employment needs.
Gary Stephens, Partner and Town Planning Consultant at Marrons, said:
“There has been a significant increase in demand for our services due to our high success rate in achieving planning permissions for clients. We have significant growth plans in the business, and Jack’s appointment will strengthen the team and bring new ideas and skills to unlock sites. We are thrilled to have him on board.”
Not all heroes wear capes
In a quest to prove that recruitment agencies are not all business suits and serious meetings, the Apex Recruitment team swapped their pens for paintbrushes and descended upon Haven Nursing Home in Coventry.
The mission? To spend their Corporate Social Responsibility day turning a drab perimeter fence and a few lonely outdoor benches into works of art that would make Picasso jealous.
Apex Recruitment Services is committed to making a positive impact on the community and aims to foster a sense of social responsibility among its employees and contribute to the wellbeing of the communities it serves.
Apex has spent previous CSR days carrying out various projects, including helping Brambles Pre-School by tidying and refurbishing their garden and play area, litter picking around their offices in Chase Meadow, and creating a sensory garden for Mikey’s Fund.
