A Busnes@LlandrilloMenai initiative aims to help businesses improve their digital and net zero capabilities. Funding and mentoring are available for up to 175 SMEs to develop their decarbonisation action plans.

One company which has benefitted from the opportunity is Mold-based Celtic Financial Planning. Established in 2018, the awardwinning, independent, chartered financial planners are known for their community commitment and have always taken their environmental responsibility seriously.

Green Digital Academy Journey

Keen to continue to improve their sustainability, the business signed up to the Green Digital Academy. Director, Rob Lewis, felt the programme aligned with the business goals of being an environmentally conscious firm and were looking for support to go the extra mile.

He said: “The programme has been very beneficial for us as a business. Often you don’t know what you don’t know, so having an independent expert evaluate your business and providing advice is invaluable.”

Through the Green Digital Academy, the business has been able to review its five-year carbon reduction plan and thanks to the funding they can take their plans even further by monitoring their impact.

Celtic Financial Planning now have a detailed plan in place thanks to the advice and support they received through the programme. They are excited at what the future holds as they continue to build on their carbon zero status.
