In your opinions, what are the market trends/building styles?
For all types of properties, having the ability to have a desk space away from the main living areas is something we are seeing more and more often. In family homes, purchasers are looking for a separate living space away from the kitchen/family room.
What are the advantages of buying new build?
End of chain , more economical to run in the current climate ,warranty provided and move straight into it . (See also page 41)
What challenges have Developers had to deal with?
With the changing market, developers have had to adapt to supply chain issues and buyer demand. Incentives are often negotiated to assist buyers purchasing and developers securing a sale.
Finally, if you were going to purchase a new build home, what would you look for?
How do Beresfords Land & New Homes Team support developers?
We are fortunate to have an in-house design team plus a large marketing team, including social media executives. Plus, a large dedicated new business centre consistently hitting the phones calling out on all our projects in support of our local offices.

Joe has worked in property since 2014 starting out at our flagship Chelmsford branch, working his way to assistant manager within Beresfords.
Having worked on large new homes sites while in the residential branches, he joined the New Homes Team in October 2019 as New Homes Consultant and has continued to build strong relationships with our developer clients as well as launching developments of all sizes across our branch network and working closely with the marketing team to achieve maximum exposure of key aspects of each development.
I would firstly look for location....a property with excellent connectivity into the local town, the previously mentioned study space, a high level finish and quality throughout and some space between the properties, to allow for attractive elevations and site lines.
