hase I of our $5.1M Master Plan has gained momentum as we head into the summer months. It was early April when we broke ground on our 4-Seasons Veranda at the official April 9th groundbreaking. The Clubhouse and dining in the Berkeley and Tap Rooms, as well as private Tuscan Wine Room, will remain open for the majority of the construction period, allowing members to enjoy dining and Club amenities. Refinements in the Grand Hall entry and additional areas will further add to the graciously welcoming ambiance and reflect our new, casual Lowcountry design. The exterior is slated for Fall completion with full occupancy and use by Spring/ Summer of 2022. Construction of

the nearly 5,000 square foot addition extends off the former Grand Hallway, at an elevated, seamless level to provide year-round dining. Here, members can gather for casual dining any time of day. Whether enjoying drinks and light bites after finishing a round or a glass of wine and gourmet dining as the sun sets, with extraordinary views onto the North Course #9th and #18th holes. “It’s exciting to share our progress with members, from our first shovels, to prepping the foundation,” said Adam Kushner, GM/COO. “Especially now, as vertical construction lends a visual appreciation for the scope of our 4-Season Veranda, and interior work follows our vision for the casually upscale Berkeley Hall lifestyle at the Club. We’ll be sharing more news via video interviews with Choate supervisor Skyler Jones to keep membership informed every step of the way!”
