he South Course re-grassing project is progressing well, as we find ourselves in the midst of a very busy summer season. We are concluding the Celebration sprigging process on the fairway re-grassing, and beginning the second stage of growing sprigs to create a superior playing surface. Achieving a near-perfect fairway surface generally takes two growing seasons, however, once the course re-opens early October, we think you’ll find it to be an impeccable experience. After the Celebration sprigs are planted, they are watered once an hour to maintain moisture for growth. Following the 10th day, sprigs will be fertilized weekly and sand top-dressed bi-weekly to assist with the grow-in process. Entrance and exit areas are also being enhanced with an additional two to three-inch sand-cap and converted turf from TifSport to TifTuff.
