LINDA’S LINES Two new groups have started since the first of the year, Tell Your Story Writing Class and the Ukulele Group. Thank you to Edie Boschetti who came to me wanting to start a life story class. In this class learn to tell your life stories to share with your families. Then there are many to thank who have been involved in getting the Ukulele group going, Mickey Peabody, Kathy Murrey, with the Turlock Sunshine Strummers, and Bonnie Holtzclaw who is leading the group for their energy and enthusiasm to start a Uke Group in Oakdale. Also I would like to think my daughter Jennifer Royalty-Cuthbert who designed their logo, great job. Then there is the financial support that we received from the Stanislaus County Senior Foundation for their donation of $1,500 to purchase loaner Ukuleles. I have enjoyed working with all these volunteers in setting up these new programs.

CONGRATULATIONS OAKDALE SENIOR CITIZENS FOUNDATION The Oakdale Senior Citizens Foundation received the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce 2014 Community Service Award in January.
