Congratulations, Class of 2015! Berkshire bids a fond farewell to its 108th graduating class. Mr. Gulotta delivers commencement address on the occasion of his retirement after 36 years of service to Berkshire.
The Commencement Awards Arwen E. Neski of Ashley Falls, Massachusetts: The Berkshire Cup, the highest distinction Berkshire confers on one of its graduating seniors. It is given each year to the student who is considered by the faculty to have made the greatest contribution to the success of the school year. Justin K. Donawa of Sandys, Bermuda: The Headmaster’s Prize, awarded to the student whose particular contribution to Berkshire has distinguished the school year in a special way and whose leadership led others and influenced many. And The Morris Trophy, awarded to the sixth-form male student who has best exemplified proficiency and sportsmanship in interscholastic athletics. Andrej P. Bogdanovics of Litchfield, Connecticut: The Robert A. Powers Award, which recognizes a sixth former who has demonstrated personal growth, loyalty to the school, and dependability of performance which has distinguished his or her career at Berkshire.

Good of Tianyue (Mary) Gao of Woodbury, Connecticut: Shenzhen, China: The The Herger Trophy, Peter Lance Anderson awarded to the Award, decided by the sixth-form female membership of the Cum student who has best Laude Society and given exemplified proficiency to the student who best and sportsmanship in exemplifies the qualities interscholastic athletics. of personal excellence, integrity, and academic scholarship. Jack D. Harrison of Lancashire, England: The MacKenzie L. Morris Trophy, awarded Lancaster of Waxhaw, to the sixth-form male North Carolina: The student who has best Anna S. Barrasch Prize, exemplified proficiency awarded for unselfish and sportsmanship in interest in people and interscholastic athletics. loyalty to Berkshire. James G. McKee of Darien, Connecticut: The Princeton Cup, is the top sixth-form academic prize and is awarded for diligence in studies and success in co-curricular activities. Liza Jane Branch of Charlotte, North Carolina: The Calvin Fentress Citizenship Award, given for exemplary personal performance, loyalty to Berkshire, and outstanding citizenship in the school community.
Jean Woodward Maher: The Aliis Non Sibi Award. Selected by members of the graduating class, the recipient of this award follows the motto “for others, not themselves.” It recognizes a member of the faculty who, through a love of teaching and abiding commitment to enriching the lives of students, embodies the ideals and spirit of an engaged and treasured member of both the faculty and, equally important, the Berkshire community.
