Yachting in Style with Peace of Mind
The Yacht Market Overview
This year is a momentous milestone for BGYB as we celebrate our 30th anniversary. We are thrilled to report that this commemorative year has been marked by exceptional success, with a busy year of sales and a record number of charter contracts before the year is even up. We now look forward to the months ahead and hope to continue to build on this momentum.
Sales
The BGYB Sales department has seen a strong start to 2024, with the critical summer period bringing numerous successful sales and many more currently underway. We are pleased to announce that we have closed 22 sales since the beginning of the year. Noteworthy sales include the motor yacht Lobster 65 OLYMPIC, the sailing yacht Wally 100ft Y3K as well as the Multihull Ice Cat 67 USODA. With 4 sales currently in progress, we anticipate further growth to this list.
Our sales fleet has also expanded with several new listings. We are excited to welcome the 107ft Wally Racer-Cruiser SPIRIT OF MALOUEN X, now back on the market with us after a successful sale in 2022, and the 104ft Sloop ASAHI, whom we are now selling again for the fourth time. Additionally, we have added the 189ft motor yacht HARMONY, the 82ft sailing yacht DJANGO TOO, and the sailing catamarans MC 75 JACK & HH66 NO CODE to our fleet.
Nominated for Multihull of the Year 2024, we are also excited to announce that the catamaran GP70 CATCH ME from our Central Agency is exhibited in world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024. With our Sales Team attending, this event presents an exciting opportunity for us to engage with industry leaders and potential clients.
Charter
Over the past few months, the charter department has achieved remarkable success. The summer season of 2024 has already produced our best figures yet, even with the year still ongoing. We’ve signed a record number of contracts, and have already started to sign contracts for the Caribbean season and on into Summer 2025.
The BGYB Fleet has grown significantly over the past 6 months. We are firstly pleased to announce our most recent addition to our Central Agency, the 41 m motor yacht SOPHIE BLUE whose calendar is already open for the 2025 summer season! We have also expanded further into the Seychelles where we are now offering a second catamaran, the Lagoon 620 RÊVE2MER, alongside the Lagoon 77 MANE ET NOCTE. BGYB has further welcomed the Swan 105 RS SELENA, the Swan 76 LA LOÉVIE and the Sunreef 82 HOUBARA to our Central Agency as well as reintroducing the Alegria 67 SEMPER FIDELIS. With these new additions, our Central Agency currently stands at an impressive 27 yachts available to charter.
We have further seen a number of our charter yachts displayed at prestigious yachting events. Notably, the Truly Classic 90 ATALANTE and JFA/Vitters IKIGAI were featured at the Palma International Boat Show, whilst our new Swan 76 LA LOÉVIE was promoted at the ECPY Open Day.
In June, we were particularly thrilled to offer an exclusive racing charter opportunity with Francis Joyon.
The distinguished French the yachtsman is known for his records such as the fastest solo circumnavigation in 2004 and the fastest crewed circumnavigation in 2017. Joyon provided an extraordinary opportunity to sail aboard the 60 Orma Trimaran OCEANS in events such as the Round the Island Race on the Isle of Wight and the Drheam Cup in France.
Looking ahead, our team now look forward to the autumn and winter charter seasons. We eagerly await our upcoming events such as the Swan Cup when the highly decorated Swan 82 KALLIMA will be racing, and the exciting America’s Cup in which a number of our boats have secured key berths to watch the festivities. We further welcome all charter inquiries extending into Summer 2025.
Marketing
and Development:
We have seen our BGYB team grow this year. We have welcomed to our Montpellier office our new annual Charter Assistant in June as well as two new Junior Charter Brokers at the start of September.
These roles aid in handling our increasingly high volume of enquires, furthering our marketing strategies and managing our boats for charter. With our rapidly expanding team, we have also secured a new headquarters in Montpellier, which we anticipate relocating to as we approach 2025.
We now look forward to our attendance at a number of renowned yachting events such as the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Monaco Yacht Show and the Antigua Yacht Show. We are also highly anticipating our annual BGYB trip to Voiles de Saint-Tropez where some of our yachts for sale and for charter will be displayed and we shall be celebrating our three decades in yacht brokerage.

ATLANTIC
212ft New Classic Schooner
She is a replica of the legendary ATLANTIC which was commissioned in 1903. Her victorious 1905 Transatlantic Race ensured that she went down in yachting history.
After owning, restoring, rebuilding or recreating a number of famous yachts such as Thendara, Aile Blanche, Borkumriff, Zaca a te Moana and most recently Eleonora, her owner planned his ultimate masterpiece; with her overall length of 64.5 metres she is the largest classic racing schooner ever to be recreated. Above all else, she, like her inspiration, remains breathtakingly beautiful, turning heads wherever the wind takes her.
Her dimensions are simply incredible; overall, she measures a remarkable 64.5 m. Her graceful sheer line and long overhangs accentuate her grace while her waterline length of 42 m and narrow beam are a promise of unmatched speed under sail. Her spars tower some 45 m above the waterline and support a staggering area of 1,750 m² of sail, more than two and a half times that of the already awesome J-Class yachts.

DOUCE FRANCE
BGYB represents YYachts in France
The YYachts shipyard is located on the Baltic Sea, almost directly on the water. Here we can manufacture yachts up to 35 metres in length.
The shipyard is equipped with modern and technologically advanced systems to guarantee efficiency and precision in production. At the sametime, the structure is simple and straightforward to live up to the YYachts philosophy of “Keep it simple”.
Ybreeze 75
Their goal is to build sailing yachts that give you time for yourself as well as
and
with your family and friends - a reliable investment in a better quality of life. We will treat you with the honesty and authenticity with which we produce our yachts. Our passion is to build sustainable sailing yachts that are ahead of their time, yet easy to sail and maintain.
The new iconic daysailer for speed and fun With the all-new YBREEZE 75 daysailer, we have created - in collaboration with Cossutti Yacht Design - what promises to be a whole new type of yacht. More a coastal speed machine than an offshore cruiser, this eye-catching 75-foot carbonfibre craft has been designed for sailors who want to enjoy relaxing afternoons with friends or the excitement of a regatta.
YCustom
YYachts has developed an entire custom division of the company specialized in the design and production of unique customized luxury super yachts. Our team of specialists with many years of experience develops fully customized yachts according to the owner’s dreams and wishes. YYachts hulls and superstructures are exclusively in carbon fibre, and we are specialized in up to 35 meters in length, customized and individual sailing yachts. Please note that the measurements are not determined as the YCustom is completely customizable.
Y8
With its construction, the Y8 has good potential for regatta victories. Since the mast has been placed further aft, the new Y8 carries a larger headsail, which provides better height in the wind. In the cockpit, guests enjoy a wonderful sailing atmosphere al fresco. The crew has a separate entrance here. With its soft edges and coachroof, and flooded with natural light, the Y8 has a relaxing atmosphere ! Due to its design, the Y8 can be sailed with a very small crew, making it an ideal family yacht.
Y7
A displacement of about only 29 tons and 300 square meters of sail area, set this almost 22 meter, 70 foot, long yacht in motion even in the lightest of winds. Her good ballast ratio keeps her very stable, so that a Y7 is extremely pleasant to sail. This luxury yacht was designed for family vacations as it can be operated with a very small crew or even alone. Easy handling combined with excellent performance and an interior completely tailored to the owner has made the Y7 a bestseller in the YYachts portfolio.
Y9
Our Y9 is unique and so is every single Y9. Above all, she is as individual as our customers themselves, because her layout and equipment are completely variable. She is available in three exciting versions – Y9, Y9 Pilot House, Y9 Custom. The main focus for Y9 owners is spending time with family and friends on board. As a result, the 90-foot carbon sailing yacht is easy to sail even with a small crew. Her interior design fulfills and even extends all owners’ wishes for a family yacht. Of course, the Y9 can also prove her potential on regatta courses in the Mediterranean or the Caribbean.
