TOXIC OF ANTHROPOGENIC AND BIOHAZARD “A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.” - Franklin D. Roosevelt There are few scenarios that happening concurrently even in the past and currently that are mainly caused by human at first then comes to environmental issue exist, which will affect to human themselves, life situation, environment and the buildings around. It is ‘Toxic of Anthropogenic and Biohazard’. ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION ‘Environmental pollution is one of the most serious problems facing humanity and other life forms on our planet today. Environmental pollution is defined as “the contamination of the physical and biological components of the earth or atmosphere system to such an extent that normal environmental processes are adversely affected.’(Iyyanki V. Muralikrishna, Valli Manickram, 2017) Any substances or energies can be involved in pollutants naturally but they are known as impurity or poison when too much of natural levels. Any utilization of normal assets at a rate higher than nature’s ability to re-establish itself can bring about contamination of air, water, and land. Environmental pollution served as a restriction or and difficulty to the economical abuse of coal deposits. In industrialized society, the standards for conservation of the earth are stricter than in creating society, community and region. Some natural results of mining and preparing coal stores are water contamination and hydrological harm, air contamination, land contamination, sound contamination, ground vibration and

rock dispersal, deforestation, and visual effect. Hence, these environmental effect are expending everyday due to the size of individual mining activities is expending as the mining of lower grade deposits expended. Furthermore, environmental pollution also defined as ecological contamination as it is the ominous adjustment to our atmosphere and climate, completely or largely as caused by human’s activities, through direct and indirect impacts of the adjustments in the abundance of organisms, physical and constitution of chemical, radial levels and energy pattern. Besides, environmental pollution is also a worldwide issue and will keep on develop in industrialized counties, which are the human being attractions for the long-time duration. The decrease in environmental quality as an outcome of pollution is proved by biological diversity, loss of vegetation, too much amount of poisonous substance occurred in the surroundings and food grains, cause harm to life supporting systems and developing the risk of natural mishaps.
OVERDEVELOPMENT Overdevelopment provides the way of viewing the worldwide inequality that pay attention on the negative impact of excessive consumption. It happens as the usual constitutive counterpart to known as ‘underdevelopment’. Besides, regions, culture and society are seen as an issue that needs to be settled in the standard progressive and improvement theory of ‘underdevelopment’ states. Therefore, over developers in causing the worldwide inequality playing a huge responsibility on uneven development on the building, economics that will produce a lot of wastage to the earth. The expenditure of this scenario does not make the society notably happen when it causes harm to people, but rather developing the West’s ecological footprint. So, overdevelopment carry out large impact to the climate, atmosphere and earth, social and worldwide economy. Moreover, overdevelopment will not just cause negative impact to the human and environment, but bring harm to wildlife like destroying endless ecosystems, systems, fauna and flora species. The increasing of uncontrolled development in building area and deforestation of tree species for cattle ranches, farmland and commercial

cattle ranches, farmland and commercial use results in carrying out harmful effects on the environment in every year. There are various type of animal species like Javan Rhinoceros, Mountain Gorillas and California Tiger Salamanders that usually live heavily in deforested areas in South America and Asia have been threatened by this overdevelopment issue. And there’s more than 70% of global animal and plant species living current living in forest are susceptible to danger when their ‘home’ become shopping mall, residence, resort and hotels, and other buildings which stripped for logging businesses due to uncontrolled-development. The study was done by NWF in year 2001 to show that overdevelopment causes species’ life risk. Furthermore, if development is not control, it will also destroy to the earth’s ozone layer and speeding up the greenhouse effect of scenario happening and encouraging global warming in the future. Even we know that the plants and forest can helps to deal with green house effect, but excessive of deforestation due to overdevelopment to allow these greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide to enter into atmosphere, in the end climate change will happen rapidly in dangerous speed.
WATER DISRUPTIONS Water disruption are often happened in Malaysia when comes to announcement was made by Malaysian Air Selangor Customer Service Center. According to Malaysian Air Selangor Customer Service Center, water disruption will usually happen around 23 hours or few days due to some emergency maintenance work to replace the sluice valve of any constructed buildings and water pools which was suffering from a serious leak. Some other reasons of water disruption were happened also because most of the natural river water and lake surrounded around the cities like Kuala Lumpur was polluted due to overdeveloping issue. Hence, water disruption was happened in order to repair and mobilising the water tank which effected by toxic and poisonous chemical substance which is harmful to human’s health when they use the water every day. Hence, water disruption will leave out depends on the level of environmental water pollutions. Therefore, the Toxic of Anthropogenic and Biohazard in environmental contamination and overdevelopment aspects will not just only causes harm to human, environment, ecosystems and species but will also bring negative effect the society’s life situation especially when comes to dealing with water disruptions, lock downs because of haze and so on.

RESEARCH BACKGROUND 研究の背景
CURRENT SITUATION IN GLOBAL The exist of greenhouse gases are the main reason of climate changes happening in environmental contamination issue which increasing day by day as human being exercising too much pressure on the earth. The situation is critical as the increase in emission of 130% by 2050 was forecast by the International Energy Agency if pollution continues non-stop. China and United States are the countries that have the highest rate of environmental pollution compare to the rest of the countries. Air pollution was very worst in Beijing, China as the level of consumption hits 30% because China is world’s most populated country that has high amount of export market industries which is currently increasing to reach a serious threat to the earth. Besides, United States had reached 15% in environmental pollution level as it’s the world’s biggest industrial and commercial power. Based on the World Health Organization (WHO) and International Energy Agency, the data on the next page shows the worst and best of other 135 countries shared with Business Insider by a UK-based solar energy comparison site, The Eco Experts.

CURRENT SITUATION IN MALAYSIA Nowadays, Malaysia has stepping forward in speed development to become an industrial country, to become like China and United States that having good economics and industrial development. There are various types of industries and business like little and average industries, heavy and light enterprises have been developing over the most recent 10 years. The expand of modernity and agricultural activities has been made for another interest in housing, urbanization, medication and transportation as the population increases in Malaysia. However, if the development does not being control well, Malaysia will be having environmental and ecological issues particularly contamination because of the risk of Toxic of Anthropogenic and Biohazard, such as substantial metal in condition. In this industry, the level of heavy metals at the surroundings have been developed everyday as the country become more developed. Because due to the over excess of anthropogenic activities happening, there will be endless of heavy metals release to the environment which will lead to environmental pollution and air pollution will relate to greenhouse effect, climate change and global warming in the future. Besides, the consistency of heavy metals into the ground and natural river, lake and sea water will makes the situation worst and cause harm to human, animal and flora species. Based on an article (Environmental Pollution in Malaysia, 2018), ‘Anthropogenic activities such as mining, smelting and agriculture have locally increased the levels of heavy metals such as cadmium (Cd), copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), lead (Pb), arsenic (As) and nickel (Ni) in soil up to dangerous levels for plants, animals and human beings.

Although with the forest around us, the status of heavy metals level are quite crucial as the result of human daily activities, dense population area near the forest and also an increasing of the transportation. These activities give adverse effect to the life being as they enter into the environment.’ Hence, these are the reasons why do Malaysia have been leaded into an environmental pollution situation in these recent years. Moreover, based on the recent news The Star, by (Kalbana Perimbanayagam, 2019), there’s environmental contamination and overdevelopment were happen in Bukit Kiara area, Malaysia. Due to this pollution situation, the Malaysian Government of Air Selangor Service Centre had made announcement of shutting down the Selangor treatment plant encompassing large areas and the work at Semenyih river treatment plant had been paused for the time being. Because the source of pollution has been traced to a sewage treatment facility in Bandar Mahkota. Therefore, there are amount of 372,031 people at Sepang, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, Klang Valley and Petaling district had experienced the unscheduled water cuts due to the air and water pollution. The water treatment plant will operate again but it depends on the improvement of the pollution level. In the end, water disruption in the areas have happened and reach more than 370,000 after the Selangor treatment plant have been shut down for some timebeing due to the environmental pollution. Besides, due to ecological pollution and overdevelopment in Bukit Kiara area, the Federal Territories Minister Khalid Samad hadtook an action to gazetted the part of Bukit Kiara green lung included Bukit Kiara Trails, Keladi Trail, Taman Persekutuan Bukit Kiara and Bukit Kiara Downhill Mountain Bike Trail to become a Bukit Kiara federal and recreational park, which would make it the biggest in the city of Kuala Lumpur. The purpose was to protect the flora and fauna species from destroyed from overdevelopment at Bukit Kiara, and to promote the society a healthy living environment and letting them to appreciate the nature.
Therefore, in order to rise the awareness of appreciating the natural source of the environment among the society, there’s a bi-monthly programme ‘Salcon Smart Water Programme (SSWP)’ was organised by Salcon Berhard in collaboration with Water Watch Penang (WWP) which is the non-government organisation, for 27 representative of SMK Yu Hua students to participate, at Taman Persekutuan Bukit Kiara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. Through this programme, student have tough about water, it’s conservation and ways to monitor and evaluate the quality of river water.
CHARACTERISTICS OF AIR POLLUTION Air pollution is the most general environmental issue happen in huge cities emanations from a wide range of sources are concentrated. One of it is smog, which is course by air pollution that often shows up as a cloud to make the air dirty. Sometimes, the smog and air pollution are being prevented from spreading out by the mountains and skyscrapers. Besides, air pollution can enter into Earth’s climate from numerous points of view. There are anthropogenic source and natural source of air pollution. For anthropogenic source, most of it is caused by humans, appearing as outflows from industries and factories, plane, various vehicles or aerosol can. Besides, recycled tobacco smoke and second-hand cigarette smoke is also another type of air pollution as well. Hence, these
Image retrieved from https://www.desertsun.com/story/tech/sciencefair/2016/09/29/carbon-dioxide-levels-400-ppm-scripps-maunaloa-global-warming/91279952/
man-made sources of pollutions are known as anthropogenic sources. Besides, for natural source of air pollution, it happens naturally such as the smoke that come out from conflagration or ash from the cliff and volcanoes. Furthermore, the air pollution in the large cities in poos and developing nations is tend to be more compare to the cities in developed nations. Based on World Health Organization (WHO), the world’s that have most polluted cities are included Beijing in China, New Delhi in India, Karachi in Pakistan, Lima in Peru, and Cairo in Egypt. However, besides these countries, there are also other many developed countries have these air pollutions environmental issue too such as the Los Angeles in California which known as The Smog City.
CHARACTERISTICS OF INDOOR AIR POLLUTION There are many different types of indoor air pollution rather than the kind of smoke that produced by large factories, industries, vehicles and planes. One of the pointsare through burning the substances like wood, coal, and kerosene can actually heat up a house and pollute the air inside the building. Through this anthropogenic activity, ashes and smokes are being produced, it will make the residence and occupant inside difficult to breath; and this type of gases will also stick to the surrounding of the interior spaces and items like walls, foods and clothing. The long the time that human get along with these smokes, the higher the chance of negative impacts will bring to the them. Besides that, the naturally-occurring
Image retrieved from https://theconversation.com/blame-wood-burning-stoves-for-winter-air-pollution-and-health-threats-110662
radon gas which is a type of disease causing material can actually be develop in a house and being released through the surface of the Earth. Therefore, if the cheap framework is installed by experts, it can actually lessen the radon levels in the house. Furthermore, the insulation of the construction materials will also bring harm to human’s health. The spread of toxic mold can also cause by the ventilation and air movement in the house and rooms of the building. A solitary settlement of mold may exist in a clammy and cool spot in a house such as the gap between dividers. Therefore, people can fall ill from breathing in the spores when the mold’s spores enter the air and spread to the surrounding of the house.
CHARACTERISTICS OF GLOBAL WARMING Natural and anthropogenic air pollution can lead to the environmental phenomenon of Global Warming. It depends on the rising temperature of air and sea around the world which rises at any rate somewhat caused by the increase of the amount of ozone and greenhouse gases in the climate. The Ozone and greenhouse gases can trap the heat vitality in the Earth environment. Moreover, the biggest chance of causing Global Warming are the carbon dioxide which is discharge into the air by burning nonrenewable energy sources and fossil fuels like petroleum, gaseous petrol, natural gas, gasoline and coal. The human has depending too much on fossil fuels and petroleum products to power vehicles and planes, heat homes and
Image retrieved from https://www.boredpanda.com/environmental-pollution-overdevelopment-overpopulation-overshoot-globalpopulation-speakout/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
run bunch of industries which will carry out a lot of carbon dioxide to pollute the fresh air. There are also other harmful sources they produced by greenhouse gases to cause Global Warming like fluorinated gases, nitrous oxide and methane. Well the characteristics of these gases are, fluorinated gases like hydrofluorocarbons are discharge by factories and industries; nitrous oxide is a usual discharge from industrial factories, agriculture activities, and burning of fossil fuels in vehicles; and methane is a major discharge from agricultural processes and coal plants. There are also gases like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) produced to the air and have been prohibited in numerous spots since they exhaust the ozone layer.
STATISTICS OF POPULATION GROWTH Based on the article ‘Top17 Environmental Problems’, the human population grows about 1.13% every year in the planet, it consists about 80 million individuals (by Renewable Resources Coalition, 2016). The impact of the overpopulation has lead to lacking access of fresh water, overuse of nature resources and species eradication, and wildlife losing habitat. Therefore, there are many wildlife and nature species being affected and damaged, so the earth has lost almost about 30,000 of species every year.
STATISTICS OF WASTE PRODUCTION ‘The average person produces 4.3 pounds of waste per day, with the United States alone accounting for 220 million tons per year. Much of this waste ends up in landfills, which generate enormous amounts of methane.’ (Renewable Resources Coalition, 2016). In addition to the fact that this will create blast risks, and methane is rated as the top worst of greenhouse gases due to its high Global Warming capability.
STATISTICS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ‘The majority of the issues previously listed contribute or are linked to climate change. Statistics created by NASA state that global temperatures have risen by 1.7 degrees Fahrenheit since 1880, which is directly linked to a reduction in Arctic ice of 13.3% per decade.’ (Renewable Resources Coalition, 2016). The impact of environmental changesare widespread, as it will lead to deforestation, water quantity, seas and biological systems. Each of these symptoms have reached upshot of their own, checking the environmental change and climate change as the major nature ecological issue that faced by the Earth.
STATISTICS OF DEFORESTATION ‘The demands of an increasing population has resulted in increasing levels of deforestation. Current estimates state that the planet is losing 80,000 acres of tropical forests per day. This results in loss of habitat for many species, placing many at risk and leading to large-scale extinction. Furthermore, deforestation is estimated to produce 15% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions.’(Renewable Resources Coalition, 2016)
STATISTICS OF WATER SHORTAGE As the climate change happens and population increases every year, it causes more dry seasons so water shortage is getting a great amount of an issue. There are just 3% of the water existed in the world are consider fresh. There are about 1.1 billion of human are lacking access to these fresh and safe drinking water. Based on the current situation of water scarcity, it happens to the development countries like California and United States. By the middle of this century, in excess of 33% of all countries in the lower 48 states will be at a higher danger of water deficiencies with more than 400 of the 1,100 areas confronting a very high hazard.
STATISTICS OF SOIL EROSION AND DEGRADATION The result of soil erosion and degradation happen is caused by the practices of unsustainable industrial agriculture. It will end up resulting to the expanded flooding and desertification, clogged and polluted waterways and less arable land. Hence, half of the world’s topsoil has been lost over the recent 150 years, based on the World Wildlife Fund.
STATISTICS OF LOW BIODEVERSITY Proceeded with human exercises and development has prompted brought down biodiversity. A lack of biodiversity had implies that people in the future generation will have to manage with the expanding susceptibility of plants to bugs and lesser sources of clean and new water. A few examinations have discovered that the lowered biodiversity has as articulates a negative effect as environmental change and contamination on ecosystems and biological systems, especially in places with higher amounts of species termination.
STATISTICS OF WATER POLLUTION Clean and fresh water is essential to life to the human, wildlife, flora species and nature environment on the Earth, but there are more sources are being contaminated throughout the anthropogenic and biohazard activities that practiced by human every year. On the large scale of worldwide, there are the amount of 2 million tons of sewage, industrial and agricultural of waste production being discharge to the natural water source of the Earth in each year. These situations have brought to the result of water pollution happening and cause damage impact to water outside that human will drink. In last, it upsets the marine life, modifying regenerative cycles here and there, and increasing the rates of death on the Earth.
STATISTICS OF OCEAN ACIDIFICATION ‘Ocean acidification is the term used to describe the continued lowering of the pH levels of the Earth’s oceans as a result of carbon dioxide emissions. It is estimated that ocean acidity will increase by 150% by 2100 if efforts aren’t made to halt it.’ (Renewable Resources Coalition, 2016). The expansion in ocean acidification can have critical impact on calcifying species like shellfish. This will lead to the food chain problem and causing the decrease in aquatic life that would some way or another not be influenced by acidification.
STATISTICS OF ACID RAIN The air pollution has cause acid rain throughout the chemicals and synthetic substances have released into the environment and earth when the fuel is burned. This impact is most unmistakably found in aquatic ecosystems and sea-going environment, where the expanding of acidity in the water will cause the death of animal species. Besides that, it will also bring various of negative impact to the trees and plant species as well. Even it does not harm the tree species immediately, but acid rain can actually weaken them by harming their leaves, poisoning them and restricting their accessible natural supplements and nutrients.
STATISTICS OF OVERFISHING Approximately 63% of worldwide aquatic species stocks are currently considered overfished. It has causes to many fishing fleets making a beeline for new waters which will just serve to drain fish stocks further. Because, overfishing will cause an unbalance of the aquatic and sea ecosystem life, and seriously influencing the common biological system simultaneously. Besides, it has likewise effects the coastal communities or waterfront networks that depend on angling to help their economies.

Environmental contamination has been happening for from time to time, but in specific, it began to happen after the industrial revolution of 19th century. The ecological contamination happens when the natural surrounding in the earth planet could not act its role in destroying the element without bring damage and harm the planet itself. These elements involved are produced by human beings, not by nature, and obliterating process which can happen from a couple of days to great many years, for example the case for environment, soil, air, water, sound and radioactive pollution. In the end, contamination will happen when nature doesn’t know how to decay an element that have been brought to it in an unnatural way.
RESEARCH ISSUE 问题 Image retrieved from https://www.boredpanda.com/environmental-pollution-overdevelopment-overpopulation-overshoot-globalpopulation-speakout/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
CAUSED BY INDUSTRIES There are many reasons of causes that leads to environmental pollution happening. From oil, air pollution, and soil erosion. The oil spillage that produced by the industries and factories then travels into natural river water and lake will lead to environmental pollution because these toxic chemicals will cause decomposition and kills aquatic species. The smoke and fumes produced to the air will and also destroy the surroundings because the substance of smoke gases will reduce and limit the existence of oxygen produce to the air. These poisonous chemicals contain heavy metal, in the end not just only kills the aquatic species, increase along ecosystem and food chains, reaching at the higher trophic level. Besides, due to the large release of oil, smoke, fumes and agro-chemicals, it will cause soil erosion and lead to environmental contamination. Because when the silt is travel to the body of aquatic species, the will clog the their respiratory system, making the water unclean and harmful to gills of fish, stomata in plants and human consumption as well.
Image retrieved from https://www.henley.ac.uk/news/2018/are-we-serious-about-stopping-global-warming
CAUSED BY TRANSPORTATION It is almost the same as the fact of industries that causing environmental pollution. Fossil fuels are produced by the transportations like various type of vehicles, monorails, trains and airplanes from day to day. Especially when the high dense of traffic in an area. The higher the dense of traffics, the more the transportation; the more the transportation, the more the fossil fuels will be released to the surroundings end in the end may lead to the levels of pollution.
Image retrieved from https://www.fh-muenster.de/oecotrophologie-facility-management/downloads/holger-buxel/interview-teamsyntegrity-methode-move.pdf
CAUSED BY AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES The existence of agricultural activities will lead to water and soil pollution, because the increased uses of pesticides production made from poisonous chemical substance will reduce and undermining the animal species farm from the harvests. Hence, the agricultural activities will become more and more serious to feed the expanding total populace, more ecological, ecosystems and environment are harmed to make space for the yields.

CAUSED BY RESIDENCE AND OVERDEVELOPMENT The natural surroundings like soil, forest and tree species has to be destroyed to allow the construction of buildings like houses, shop lots, malls, sales gallery, sports arena, hotels and resorts, stand alone building even space and more. Therefore, through the development of building construction that requires the work of industries, if it’s not been controlled well, it will not just only lead to environmental pollution, but also will drive away the wildlife animal and plant species will because their home are gone. After then when the human settle in the areas, the amount of waste will be produce to the environment depends on the amount of population and level of traffics everyday, included the part that couldn’t process without the damage by the surroundings.
Image retrieved from https://www.croda.com/en-gb/products-and-markets/building-and-construction
NEGATIVE IMPACT ON ENVIRONMENT AND ECOSYSTEMS The visible type of air contamination that camouflage with colors and shapes are haze. Due to the air pollution substance in the surroundings, the surface body of water and soil will be damaged and may lead to crops damage, yield reduce and dead of species. Based on the resource library of Air Pollutions by National Geographic, ‘Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide particles in the air, can create acid rain when they mix with water and oxygen in the atmosphere. These air pollutants come mostly from coal-fired power plants and motor vehicles. When acid rain falls to Earth, it damages plants by changing soil composition; degrades water quality in rivers, lakes and streams; damages crops; and can cause buildings and monuments to decay.’ Therefore, the toxic of anthropogenic and biohazard air pollution will cause the Global Warming environment phenomenon, climate change, the deplete of ozone layer, and greenhouse effect happen which result by large scale of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, excessive burning of fossil fuels, coal, gasoline and natural gas.

NEGATIVE IMPACT ON HUMAN A wide range of health issue which classified into short-term and long-term effects, are currently faced by human when they are expose to air contamination situation. The difference of these health issues are short-term health effect is a temporary health problem happen to someone and long-term health effects is related to facing the air pollution for many years or entire lifetime in the end will lead to death. The short-term effect on human’s health included irritation on eyes, nose, throat and skin; and causes dizziness, nausea and headache. These often happen when human breadth bad smell from the air which came from factories, sewer systems and garbage for some time.
Image retrieved from https://news.nestia.com/detail/-/3285199
The long-term effect on human’s health will lead to lung cancer, heart disease, respiratory disease like emphysema and asthma, and birth defects; also it involves the damage of human brain, kidneys, liver, nerves and other organs. Therefore, kids, youngsters, adults and elderly who have a weaker immune system will be more sensitive to react to the polluted environment compare to others. The length of duration of human expose to the indoor and outdoor polluted air, the amount of exposure and types of current body health situation will be also the factors causing them to react differently to the air pollution.
NEGATIVE IMPACT ON ANIMAL SPECIES Environment pollution and overdevelopment will destroy the living environment of the wildlife and making it dangerous for them to live in. The acid rains, oils and other toxic chemicals can change the structure of oceans and rivers, making them toxic to the aquatic species, and a significant amount of ozone in the lower portions of the environment can lead to lung problems to the species. Besides, the chemical substance like nitrogen and phosphates in travels into the water will cause the excess of toxic algae grow, preventing different types of life to follow their ordinary course. Besides, the microorganisms will be destructed when soil pollution occurs, it will have emotion impact of murdering the first layer of primary food chain.
Image retrieved from https://de.123rf.com/photo_6918617_giant-panda-ist-gr%C3%BCner-bambus-blatt-essen-.html
NEGATIVE IMPACT ON PLANT SPECIES Plants, and particularly trees, can be annihilated by acid rain and this will likewise negatively affect the animal species too, as their natural habitat will be altered modifies, the respiration of plant species will be blocked by the ozone in the lower atmosphere, and unsafe pollutants can be retained from the water or soil.

In the Ecological Sports Enthusiastic Centre, it will use well the resources from the site like through collecting nature medical herbs from green lungs nearby to make nature medical ingredients, dirty rain water from polluted air to filter clean water, and waste materials that can be renewable using 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) to turn into end product merchandise which is does not bring any harm to the public and nature environment. Besides, when pointing out the significant research of the idea of tis Ecological Sports Enthusiastic can help to improve people’s health, instead of improving when they take part in exercising in the centre, the centre can also act as a creative hub to produce a next level of clean water which involves Redox Signaling Molecular inside which is purely made of nature ingredient and medical herbs to turn into health supplement and nature

skin care product that are good for public’s mental, health and skin. This provides a huge advantage for non-sports lovers, busy office man who don’t have time to work out, patients who suffers from cancers and disease, and disable people. They can still maintain their health and get heal in order to have a good body condition like others, by taking Redox Signaling Molecular supplement that invented by the Ecological Sports Enthusiastic Centre. Besides, the other significance of research also included how well can the sustainable development of kinesthesia enthusiastic machines perform well to solve environmental issues, filter clean water, produce end products and merchandise through green energy, green electricity and green technology from ecology that are benefit to social and economy without bring negative impact back to the public, species and nature environment. Furthermore, the ways to promote this future trend of Ecological Sports Enthusiastic to the residence of the selected site area and generate a long term and sustainable income are also another significance of research as well that can benefit to the topic. Last but not least, through the future strategy of Ecological Sports Enthusiastic that is integrated with nature and sustainable development of kinesthesia enthusiastic, it act as a platform to gather the public together and promote environmental awareness, together to protect the species and nature environment, and improve their health mentally and physically from getting effected by the negative impact of anthropogenic activities happening in the current situation.
The strategy of Ecological Kinesthesia Enthusiastic bring a lot of positive outcomes to the topic while it can help to solve current environmental issues and improve better living for the public. However, there are some limitations of research that happen to be as a challenge. First of all is this will involve high expenses for capital to start up the business, interior renovation work and the sustainable construction of the Ecological Kinesthesia Enthusiastic structure, and the critical part is these wouldn’t bring any harm to the nature environment, species and human. Besides, while having a great idea to design the sustainable development of Kinesthesia Enthusiastic for human to interact with it when they take most part in exercising through motion to generate green electricity and energy to solve the environmental issues and produce clean water, but there are some limitation of the supports and resources on the machines to it work in this current industry in Malaysia. Furthermore, the strategy of Ecological Kinesthesia Enthusiastic also couldn’t guarantee that it can 100% help to solve all types of current environmental issues in Malaysia, protecting all flora species near the selected site, make promising to the public that they’ll completely get heal or have the best health conditions with just relying on the Redox Signaling Molecular without doing any sports enthusiastic.

CHAPTER
2 PROJECT BACKGROUND
INTRODUCTION - TOPIC PROPOSAL 前書き
SUMMARY OF OVERALL ISSUE There are a various toxic of anthropogenic activities and biohazard such as environmental pollutions and water disruptions that happens all globally such as United Stated, China, India and more. These toxics of anthropogenic and biohazards are caused by human-being through overdevelopment, agricultural activities, large scale of waste and chemical substances release by industries, factories, overpopulation in residence area and so on. These have brought a lot of negative impact back to the nature environment, plant species, wildlife species and human beings. There are a lot of environmental pollutions and overdevelopment happened in Bukit Kiara Area, Malaysia. It will being negative impact to the live of residence of Bukit Kiara; people who works at the iconic Malaysian government building near the site such as ‘Suruhanjaya Sekuriti Malaysia’ and ‘Bahagian Sumber dan Teknologi Pendidikan’; and active sports lover who do triathlon sports, play basketballs, badmintons, tennis, golfs, polo, skates, and so on at Bukit Kiara Trails, Bukit Kiara Golf Club, Bukit Kiara Stadium and so on which is near to the site. Because there are a overpopulations living at Bukit Kiara, therefore there are a lot of wastage and chemical substance being release to the nature environment and effect to the beauty of natural ecology and ecosystems. Because there are these environmental issues like air pollution and overdevelopment happening at Bukit Kiara, it sometimes lead to the result of haze, acid rain and soil erosion; and also causing the populations near the site will have a higher chances of

facing health issues like brain cancer, lungs cancer, kidney cancer and liver cancer. Due to environment contamination and overdevelopment in Bukit Kiara, it has brought the impact water disruptions happen later on. Therefore, the Air Selangor Service Centre had often made announcement to hold unscheduled water cuts to shut down the Selangor water treatment plant in order to flush out the contaminated water away and service and repair the rusted and broken valves. Hence, the Air Selangor water treatment plant will be operated again depends the level of pollutions. Due to a long duration and many times that the residence of Bukit Kiara couldn’t access to clean and fresh water, they have tend to façade some health issues like dehydration, low blood circulation, slow digestive system, unregulated body temperature and more. Therefore, the Malaysian Government had made decisions to deal with these current environment issues and situations that are currently effecting the daily lifestyle of the population near Bukit Kiara. Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad had made decision to make the Bukit Kiara gazetted as green lung and turn into recreational park in order to create a healthier living environment to the residence and people around Bukit Kiara, protect flora and fauna from destroying, and involve facilities for the recreational park such as parking lots, sports activities and recreational equipment for people to experience and appreciate the beauty nature of Bukit Kiara environment.
OBJECTIVE OF TOPIC PROPOSAL Due to the environment issues that actively happening in Bukit Kiara, so some people like sports lover can actually maintain their physical and mental health through exercising. But how about the people who are busy on their work and don’t have time to exercise, people that suffering from cancers and disease, and the disable people? How can they actually maintain their health without involve in exercises but they can have the same standard of health like sports lovers have? Therefore, this links to the objective and purpose of my project. The proposal of my project is an Ecological Enthusiastic Sports Center, named as ‘Mannoyaku’, located at National Science Centre, Bukit Kiara. It is a sports centre that helps to solve the current environment pollution, produce clean water and promote a healthier living to the public and residence of Bukit Kiara through the public take more part in exercising through motionin the centre. The word ‘Mannoyaku’ is actually a vocabulary came from Japan, it means ‘万能药’ – ‘The cure for all ills’, therefore it reflects to the purpose of my project, ‘to cure the illness of the nature environment and human’s health problem’.

3 RESOURCES
TARGET USERS
There are 3 sources that can be found from the Bukit Kiara and will used well by the Mannoyaku – the Ecological Enthusiastic Sports Centre. The 3 of the sources are the herb species that can be found from Bukit Kiara Trail; dirty rain water from the polluted air; and waste materials around the site. First, the purpose of collecting the herbs species from Bukit Kiara Trail is to let the Mannoyaku Centre to develop the growth of the herbs, boost their performances and natural potential in medical, and turning into a natural medical herbs as part of ingredient to make a series of health products that can help human to avoid the high chance of falling into cancers and diseases. The second, by collecting dirty rain water and air humidity substance as part of sources from the pollution air, is to let the Mannoyaku Centre to turn it into a clean water through undergoing the filtration process. There are 2 types of clean water being produced in Mannoyaku Centre, one is the normal clean water that we casually used for drinking, washing and cooking; one is a new brand of water known as Mannoyaku water which involves Redox SignaLling Molecular substance inside, it act as a health supplement that can detect and repair the damaged cells and tissues inside the human body and help them to avoid falling into sickness, treats and cancers easily. Therefore, through using this Mannoyaku water that consist of Redox Signaling Molecular, it will act as the natural ingredient to make a series of Mannoyakuhealth supplement, natural herb skincare and cosmetic products. The third, is to collect the waste materials from surrounding site near Mannoyaku Centre at Bukit Kiara, such is spoiled badminton racquets, shuttlecock, tennis equipment, basketballs, plastic bottle and more, to transform it into the recycled merchandise products through undergo the 3R process (reuse, recycle and reduce).
The users that Mannoyaku Center (The Ecological Enthusiastic Sports Centre) targeting is the public from the range of 12 years old to 50 years old. There are 2 series of the public as part of target users, one is to come to exercise and play in the centre, one is to come to only shop and purchase the products that had manufactured by the centre such as Mannoyaku health supplement, natural herb skincare and cosmetic products. Besides that, there are users who can be benefit from the Mannoyaku Center after taking in the Mannoyaku health supplement that consist of Redox Signalling Molecular are athletes that often does triathlon sports and needs fast recovery after injuries, office man who have liver cancer due to overwork and many sleepless, elderly that have weak knee joint and patients who suffers from kidney cancers.
WAYS OF TOPIC CAN SOLVE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES The main way of this proposed topic Mannoyaku Centre (The Ecological Enthusiastic Sports Centre) that can help to solve the environmental issues are through using the design strategy of Ecological Kinaesthesia. This strategy can helps to apply into the process of theory and critical thinking to carry out the idea of solving the environmental issue through human take more part in exercising through motion in the centre. The definition of Ecological Kinaesthesia is the proposal of topic to work to protect the environment, when public get involved in the awareness of the position and movement of the body parts which includes

the sensory organs in joints and muscles. Besides, inside the Mannoyaku Centre itself, the whole programming and activities in the space will be generated using sustainable development of kinaesthesia enthusiastic to produce green energy and sustainable renewable energy. These green energies involve solar energy, water energy, kinetic energy, wind energy and electrical energy. There’re also some other sources that can back up these energies like algae and SALt (to power light), Smog Free Tower and Solidia Technology (to suck the carbon dioxide from polluted air) and Eco Cooler (the zero electricity of air-conditioning).
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WIDER & SPECIFIC TOPIC OF RESEARCH 関係 Image retrieved from https://www.boredpanda.com/environmental-pollution-overdevelopment-overpopulation-overshootglobal-population-speakout/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
LARGE AREA OF RESEARCH: ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE Environmental pollution served as a restriction or and difficulty to the economical abuse of coal deposits. In industrialized society, the standards for conservation of the earth are stricter than in creating society, community and region. Some natural results of mining and preparing coal stores are water contamination and hydrological harm, air contamination, land contamination, sound contamination, ground vibration and rock dispersal, deforestation, and visual effect. Hence, these environmental effects are expending everyday due to the size of individual mining activities is expending as the mining of lower grade deposits expended. Environmental contamination has been happening for from time to time, but in specific, it began to happen after the industrial revolution of 19th century. The ecological contamination happens when the natural surroundings in the earth planet could not act its role in destroying the element without bring damage and harm the planet itself. These elements involved are produced by human beings, not by nature, and obliterating process which can happen from a couple of days to great many years, for example the case for environment, soil, air, water, sound and radioactive pollution. In the end, contamination will happen when nature doesn’t know how to decay an element that
have been brought to it in an unnatural way. One of the reasons that causing air and water pollution is the industries. Besides, the transportation is also another factor that cause this environmental problem as well because the transportation like vehicles, monorails, trains and airplanes will produce fossil fuels every day. The environment pollution get worse especially at the cities that have high dense of population, traffic and transportations. Moreover, agriculture are also another factor that will cause environmental issue like soil pollution because the increased uses of pesticides production made from poisonous chemical substance will reduce and undermining the animal species farm from the harvests.
SPECIFIC TOPIC OF RESEARCH: HUMAN’S WELL-BEING The serious of environmental pollution will lead to the negative impact of human health. The human health problem can be separated into 2 categories. One is the shortterm and long-term effect health problem that caused by environment pollution; the other one is the impact of lacking access to clean water due to the water disruption that caused by air and water disruption. For the impact of air pollution, the difference between the health issues of short-term and long-term effect are, short-term health effect is a temporary health problem happen to someone and long-term health effects is related to facing the air pollution for many years
or entire lifetime in the end will lead to death. The example of short-term effects on human’s health included irritation on eyes, nose, throat and skin, dizziness, nausea and headache. The example of long-term effects on human’s health are lung cancer, heart disease, respiratory disease like emphysema and asthma, birth defects, and damagedbody organs like brain, kidneys, liver, nerves and more. Furthermore, examples of the impact of human lacking access to clean water due to the water disruption will cause harmful to their body health such as dehydration, low blood circulation, slow digestive system, unregulated body temperature and more.
DEFINITION OF TOPIC トピックの定義 Image retrieved from https://www.boredpanda.com/environmental-pollution-overdevelopment-overpopulation-overshootglobal-population-speakout/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
MANNOYAKU ‘Mannoyaku’ is a Japanese vocabulary which is ‘万能薬’, it means ‘Panacea’ in English. The definition of ‘Mannoyaku’ or ‘Panacea’ means ‘cure for all ills’ and ‘a solution or remedy for all difficulties or diseases’. Therefore, in this topic or project, the word Mannoyaku will be known as the name of my proposed project, the Ecological Kinaesthetic Sports Centre. Because, there’re a close relationship between the name of my topic ‘Mannoyaku’ and the aim that I want to achieve in this topic. Which is, Mannoyaku – the Ecological Kinaesthesia Sports Centre is a fitness centre that can help to ‘cure’ environmental issues like air pollution and water disruption, and create a better living lifestyle for all public and residence of Bukit Kiara through human take more part in exercising through motions in the space.
ECOLOGICAL KINAESTHESIA ENTHUSIASTIC Ecological Kinaesthesia Enthusiastic is the definition of my topic, the fitness centre. The word ‘Ecology’ came from a Greek word ‘Oekologue’ which ‘Oekos’ represent environment and ‘Logs’ represent the study of whole ecology. Therefore, the word ‘Ecological’ means the objective of my proposed topic thataimsto protect the environment and solve the issues. Besides, the word ‘Kinaesthesia’ is another level of ‘Kinetic’, which means a work of art that related to the resulting of motions and the awareness of the human body part’s position and movement that includes proprioceptor of sensory organs in the muscles and joints. Besides, ‘Enthusiastic means‘having or showing intense and eager enjoyment, interest or approval’. Hence, the whole definition of Ecological Kinaesthesia Enthusiastic is a proposed fitness centre that does its job to solve environment issues behind the scene while the public is having the enjoyment and taking more part in exercising through motions.
REDOX SIGNALLING MOLECULAR Redox Signalling is a type of molecular that can be used for health products. It is a type of all life-centred function on the world. There are 75% of a human body are made of cellular cells. Which means when a person fall sick, cancer and disease,it’s because there are parts of cellular cells in their body are damaged and / or infected. Therefore, when any person or patient takes Redox Signalling Molecules, these molecules can be form and build within every cellular cell, to cellular healing mechanisms and vital to the immune system inside his or her body. Hence, Redox Signalling Molecules are very fundamental and necessary to any life that without them, human will die within minutes. So, a proper
supply of Redox Signalling Molecules to a human body can enables cellular healing like detect and repair the damaged cells, fade away the dysfunctional cells, and replace over with healthy and vibrant cells. In conclusion, my proposed topic will use well the function of Redox Signalling Molecules to manufacture the Mannoyaku brand health supplements and at the same time collaborating with the natural medical herb species that can be found from Bukit Kiara Trails tomake natural skincare and cosmetic products in order to provide a healthy body condition inside and out to the public and residence of Bukit Kiara who lives under polluted environment.

THEORIES RELATED TO TOPIC 理論 Image retrieved from http://www.framebox.com/portfolio/black-panther/
SUSTAINABILITY, GREEN ELECTRICITY (WATER, SOLAR AND HEAT), FLEXIBILITY, MOVEMENT, SETTLEMENT, STILLNESS, FUNCTIONAL DESIGN, COMMUNITY-CENTRED, AND SERVICES Taking this ‘Weaving A Home’ project as a precedent study to look into the theory of sustainability, green electricity, flexibility, movement, settlement, stillness, functional design, community-centred, and services that delivers the comfort for human’s basic needs such as water, light, electricity, storage, shelter and so on. ‘Weaving A Home’ is a conceptual emergency shelter that designed by an interdisciplinary designer AbeerSeikaly, and received a Lexus Design Award in year 2013. What inspires Abeer to design this project was came from the situation of refugees having struggles to look for shelter during the manmade and natural disasters. They had to carry stuffs from their previous home as they much as they could and resettled a new live. However, sometimes due to the difficult situation they have to start with zero and build a tent as they call it a home. Therefore, this ‘Weaving A Home’, a structural fabric shelter that is collapsible is designed in order to help the refugees to
Weaving A Home. Image retrieved from https://archello.com/project/weaving-a-home
adapt their settlements in various climates. Therefore, AbeerSeikaly have used well the theory of sustainability in functionality and energy, flexibility and communitycentred idea to design this fabric shelter that able to provide the comfort of contemporary life like light and heat, collect and store water, green electricity as well by using the natural resources mainly sun and rainwater. Therefore, the theories that inspire me from ‘Weaving A Home’ project and can be related to my topic is,the designed interior machines and structures in MannoyakuCenter can act as a community-centred artwork that provides the necessary needs to the public in the space by using the sustainable green electricity such as water, solar and heat energy to filter dirty water and become into fresh water, to power light sources, electricity and other renewable energies that benefit to the centre such as helping to grow the medical herb species and more.
THEORY OF KINETIC (ROTATE, TURN, MOVE, BEND)AND MODULARITY (CUT-TO-FIT AND SECTIONAL MODULARITY) Besides, the potential that I found from this precedent study is this structure fabric shelter tent itself can be rotate and turn in order to create an opening as a door for a person to go in and out. The structure itself is also bendable and flexible in order to fit the pipe inside the structure as a system to collect the rainwater and on-site water source and stored in a design-to-fit water storage tank that is apex of the domes structure of the shelter tent. Therefore, for the consideration of functionality and design of the dome structure of the fabric tent, it has used well the design criteria of modularity such as cut-to-fit
Weaving A Home. Image retrieved from https://archello.com/project/weaving-a-home
modularity and sectional modularity. Hence, the theories that can be related to my proposed topic is modular, which means the designed interior structure itself in the Mannoyaku Centre are designed to fit the water filtration structures and pipes inside to collect rainwater and filter the fresh water.Besides that, the theory of kinetic also related to my proposed topic, which means the interior structures and machines can be move, rotate and bend in order to create an opening or becoming as a part of automatic door opening structures, partitions and columns in the Centre.
THEORY OF ZERO ELECTRICITY AND MODULARITY (BUS MODULARITY) Eco Coolers are also another example of the precedent study can be related to my topic. Eco Cooler is a clever DIY cooling system, known as smart powerless air conditioners which developed by Ashis Paul for the residence of Bangladesh as the weather condition is very hot in the summer. This Eco Cooler is made from the common waste materials like empty plastic soda bottles, does not need any electricity to generate the power and it’s easy to install. Therefore, the theory that I can found from is the organised arrangement of the plastic bottles and slot in the board. It uses the arrangement of bus modularity, by slotting different plastic bottles on a same large board.

CONTRASTING POINT OF VIEW 同意しない
In the proposed topic of Mannoyaku Centre, The Ecological Kinaesthesia Sports Centre will use well the advantages of sustainable renewable energy to generate the whole electricity in the interior space. The main renewable energy will be focused and useD is solar energy and kinetic Energy. The solar energy act as a major role to help to generate the heavy load of the electricity for the whole Mannoyaku Centre. The kinetic energy will be act as a minor role by using the exercise of motions that contributed by the public to generate the movement of the mechanisms like to open and close the sun shading of the structure to allow the sunlight shinning on the herb species in the centre, to spin the machine to rotate filtration bottle sculpture and more. The Mannoyaku Centre will not over depending on the kinetic energy that contributed by the public every single hour to power the heavy load of electrical sources for the machines in the centre, because it will depend more on the solar energy source. However, the contrasting point of view is, if the Mannoyaku Centre does only focus and depend on the solar energy and kinetic energy, it is not supportive and strong enough to power the whole electricity in the centre, therefore might need to consider on other resources. In order to prove back to fight this disagreement, there are some research can prove that by depending on solar and kinetic energy are actually strong enough to support the whole electricity of Mannoyaku Centre. Based on research, there are different type of
Image retrieved from https://www.boredpanda.com/environmental-pollution-overdevelopment-overpopulationovershoot-global-population-speakout/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
renewable energy such as solar energy, tides energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity energy, bio fuel energy, geothermal energy and water waves. Accordingto the location of the site Bukit Kiara in Malaysia, the most suitable renewable energy can be use is actually solar energy. Since as mentioned before, solar energy will act as a major function to power the heavy electricity and kinetic energy is just a minor part that is contributed by the public and as a backup, kinetic energy will be generated by solar source when the public stops contributing. In order to prove that solar energy is strong enough to support the whole electricity load for the MannoyakuCenter, according to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, ‘there are more energy from the sun falls on the earth in one hour than is used by everyone in the world in one year.Today, we use the sun rays in many ways—to heat homes and businesses, to warm water, or power devices.’ (Lora Shinn, 2018). Therefore, in a small scale such is using solar power for the small building like home, we can actually use the benefit of sun rays to power the whole electricity of the whole house through using the passive solar home design or PV cell panels. It same when apply into a large scale of building like Mannoyaku Centre located at Bukit Kiara, by increasing the amount of the passive solar home design or PV cell panels, it is strong enough to help to power the heavy load of the electricity in the space. In addition, if the weather is rainy, then will only depending to the non-renewable normal electricity sources.
INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH 学際研究
ECOLOGICAL ARCHITECTURE Since the proposed topic is all about ecological, a project that helps to protect the environment and deliver healthy living to the public, so the interdisciplinary of research is about Ecological Architecture. Ecological Architecture is a future trend as it delivers the philosophy of sustainable development of an art of architecture that consist of environment-friendly design and construction. Therefore, when the ecological building is completed, it can focus on the healthy living and well-being of the target users and the community nearby physically and mentally. Besides that, this ecological architecture will also bring in the innovative technologies and invention to reduce the negative impact to the environment, reduce the expenditure of the energy, improve the executive of management and the health of the public and target users. Besides that, in order to let the potential of Ecological Architecture to relate toMannoyaku Centre, it can provide a mindful environment and vector of health and well-being by using well the elements of natural materials, integration of the resources from the site and environment, natural energy and ventilation in the interior space, actual needs of the consumption energy, and interior green space designs.

Chapter 3, Psychogeography of site, adjacent buildings and programmes nearby Bukit Kiara site of Proposed Topic - Mannoyaku Centre, The Ecological Kinaesthesia Sports Centre.
If you look on the image showing the site map, you’ll notice that the site building Nasional Science Centre is located near to the Kerinchi Link highway road and the direction of driving is from the North West, passing by the Nasional Science Centre in a middle, to South West. Besides, the site building itself is located very close to public transport bus station to access T818 and T852, which is just a 5 minutes walking distance. The bus station operates every day from 6a.m. to 11.30p.m. Furthermore, the site location is also very easy to access public transport train station like Pusat Bandar Damansara, Siemens and Kajang MRT Line, which is 6 to 7 minutes of driving distance away from the site. The train station operates every day from 7a.m. to 12a.m. for last train. Moreover, when looking on the image showing the micro analysis of the site circulation on the previous page, the traffic of the high way Kerinchi Link is not jam during both day and night time. Even there’s a slight medium traffic appear on the highway near Medan Damansara, it doesn’t affect anyone when they are driving to Nasional Science Centre direction. Last but not least, the circulation of activity density located around Bukit Damansara area is very high due to the higher percentage of population is at there, but the Bukit Kiara Trail and Golf Club is very low
SOCIAL CULTURAL STUDIES There are positive impacts that the society and culture among the public near the Bukit Kiara could bring to the proposed project Mannoyaku, the Ecological Enthusiastic Centre. Since the objective of this project Mannoyaku, is about solving environmental issue from the site through the public exercising in motion in the space, and creating a healthier living to the public and residence of Bukit Kiara physically and mentally when they exercise and try out the Mannoyaku health care product like supplement, skincare and cosmetics. Besides that, since the Mannoyaku branding and product are made by the recyclable materials, it can be easily to be found from site especially sports facilities, houses, and other event space building, like water bottle and plastic container box because these waste are the highest percentage that will produced by these areas. Therefore, for anyone who pay visit to Mannoyaku Centre even it’s just to purchase the heath care products and vegetables that manufacture and grow by Mannoyaku, or they just going there for fitness

and exercising, they can get discount and offer on their entrance fees and price of the products whenever they donate any recyclable items. They public will get 10% off if they donate 5 recyclable items, 20% off if donate more than 10 recyclable items, and 50% off if they donate more than 50 recyclable items. Therefore, throughout this meaningful activity, it will not just creating a better culture among the public to collect waste materials they produce daily, this will also create an awareness to the public - ‘Let’s do this together to make the earth better’! In the end, how can the culture and society bring positive impact back to Mannoyaku Centre is this project will get promoted by the public of Kuala Lumpur and other states of Malaysia regarding on this interesting mission and vision by this proposed project Mannoyaku, the Ecological Enthusiastic Centre. In the future, it will attract more crowds to visit this place and Mannoyaku will become one of the top 10 places of recommendation to visit in Malaysia.
SURROUNDING BUILT ENVIRONMENT STUDIES Each architecture buildings such as Auditorium Intan Bukit Kiara, Royal Selangor Club Kiara Sports Annexe, The International KLGCC Resort and others which are surrounded around the Malaysia National Science Centre building, they have a unique historical value on its style, element, ornamentation and design on the architecture building itself. One of the similarity among these buildings are they have more than 3 floor levels in the building itself. Based on the graphic besides, it shows the analysis of the building structure and elements of Nasional Science Centre Building. The building consists of 4 floor levels in total, the 1 st floor is a double volume floor. What makes this site unique from other buildings around the site is, the building itself is in round and cylinder shape, and it has a huge skylight on the top of the building shaped like a semisphere to allows natural sunlight enter into the space in 360 degree. Besides that, the another fact that makes this building unique is the element of the façade itself are surrounded by a series of rainbow colourful gradient colours of panels, creating a sense of cheerful and colourful mood to present the unique identity.

DEMAND OF SPECIFIC PRODUCT/ SERVICES There are some healthcare products which will be manufacture by Mannoyaku Centre, the Mannoyaku Health supplement, skincare, and cosmetics. These heath care lines have becoming the hot demand in the current market. Some of the health care products are designed for different users and different purposes. For example, a health supplement like Swisse branded fish oil can be use for overall health improvement and ease of consumption. It is sold in a valuable price and has a good availability which the products are ready-available in any supermarket, local pharmacy and even online shopping via Swisse website so that the public to access easily and buy the products. Besides that, there are also other health supplements out there which is also very popular in the recent years, but they only sell their products through online website. For examples, Nutrilite supplement and Nutrilite vitamins by Amway, collagens by ME Miracle, detox by Hello Sugar and more. Therefore, many health supplement brands have been created for many uses because people nowadays are more emphasizing on their health care, medical and beauty which these has already became a hot demand in the current market. Same goes to the beauty line as there are also many skincare and cosmetic
Chapter 3, Plant speciies that can be found from Bukit Kiara site and its functions.
product brands out there in the market. For skincare, there are deep cleanser, form cleaner, milk cleanser, gel cleanser, toner, lotion toner, watery essence as toner, refiner, mistrefiner, serum, cream essence, emulsion, eye cream, eye serum, eye essence, cream moisturizer, hyaluronic acid moisturizer, sleeping mask, lip mask and sunscreen. For cosmetic, there are miscellaneous water, primer, colour corrector, foundations, concealer, mascara, eyeliner gel and pencil, eye brow pencil, bronzer, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow, setting power, setting spray, loose powder and different types of lipsticks. Some of the beauty product brands do only focus on either skincare or cosmetic, such as Clinelle, Olay, Ginn Skin Care for only skincare line; M.A.C, 3CE, Dior for only cosmetic line. Besides that, there are some other product brands do manufacture both skincare and cosmetic products such as Laneige, Burt’s Bees, April Skin and more. Therefore, most of the health care supplements, skincare and cosmetic products are designed for different type of function, users, health condition. However, there are special services provided on the demand of healthcare and beauty line by the Mannoyaku Centre, which many other brands does not provide out there…
COMPLIMENTARY OF SITE QUALITY, SERVICES, BENCHMARKING, COMPETITORS There are special services provided on the demand of healthcare line by the Mannoyaku Centre, which many brands do not provide out there. Based on the Chapter 2, since Mannoyaku Centre will be produce normal clean water and a new series of water which known is Redox Signalling Molecular water, made of purified water and salt, it will act as the main ingredients to make the Mannoyaku health supplement and sub ingredient to make skincare and cosmetic products because the other half of the ingredients will be involve natural medical herbs which could be easily found from the Bukit Kiara Trail near the site building. The graphic beside shows the types of medical plant which can be found from the site. It can be used for different purposes, some are suitable to be involve as part of the ingredients in Mannoyaku health supplements, some are suitable to be involved in Mannoyaku skincare and cosmetic products. Hence, the site location of Bukit Kiara trail is a very good place of accessing useful nature medical plants for the purpose of making the series of Mannoyaku health care and beauty products. Therefore, what makes the service of the product by Mannoyaku Centre special from other competitors are, the customers and public can customise their own ingredients they want Chapter 3, Plant speciies that can be found from Bukit Kiara site and its functions.
for their own supplements, skincare and cosmetics instead of buying the products that has already made for them. For example, people can customise different type of vitamins like A, B, C, D, E, and more for their health supplements; customise different specific nature ingredients that can help for hydration, anti-wrinkle, brightening, radiant, firming and anti-spot for skincare products; customize the level of moisture, coverage, glowy and matte for cosmetic products, taking Innisfree as an inspiration on benchmarking their services on liquid foundation product. Furthermore, the public and customers can also get discounts and offer on the total price of purchasing Mannoyaku products if they donate any recyclable items. They can get a 10% off if they donate 5 recyclable items, 20% off if donate more than 10 recyclable items, and 50% off if they donate more than 50 recyclable items. Therefore, these are the meaningful services that provided by Mannoyaku, a way of benchmarking services that other places very less have. Besides that, it is also another way to gather the community and create the awareness of recuse, reduce and recycle, a little steps will make a big difference to protect the environment and save the earth.
The benchmarking of the services offered in Mannoyaku, the Ecological Enthusiastic Centre are special and different from how other competitors benchmark their services. Taking the L’OCCITANE brand as a competitor of benchmarking. This brand is an expensive and luxurious brand that produce skincare products with rich ingredients. They also had the same idea of benchmarking their services such as providing offers and discounts to the customers who purchase their product when they donate afterused recyclable empty skincare bottle to them – but the recyclable bottles are limited to certain skincare brands. Therefore, the benchmarking services of Mannoyaku Centre are different from the L’OCCITANE because the customers can get discounts whenever they donate any type of recyclable items like plastic bottles, or container box and more, there’s no limitations like the way competitors did for benchmarking which they only accept certain skincare brand empty bottles. Besides that, the customers can also have a wider range of choices in purchasing Mannoyaku products, they can buy the health supplements and cosmetic products in a more valuable price instead of just only the skincare products available.

CHAPTER
4 FINAL DESIGN
The image above shows the Narrative Board of proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
The image above shows the Narrative Board of proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
NARRATIVE My recent project in this semester is entitled Mannoyaku, which means a relief for the environment and yourself. So, to begin with, I started with a larger issue that has been happen regularly in Selangor. Our air pollution index, water cuts and deforestation has been increased. Amongst the most impactful problem in Selangor is the overdevelopment of buildings. For example, overdevelopment of new condominiums in front of the Batu Caves area which where it supposed to be the whole heritage site. So, with this overdevelopment, the designated green lungs are under threat. Hence, it affected the residents of Bukit Kiara. Due to overdelevopment in Bukit Kiara, the Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad gazetted a part of Bukit Kiara as a federal park and as a green lung, to promote a healthy living environment to the residence, and protect the flora and fauna in Bukit Kiara. With this plan by the Federal Territories Minister, I found there’s a good opportunity for the ideal of recreational park to help improve the daily life of residence of Bukit Kiara. So, when you look at the site map of Bukit Kiara, you’ll notice that my selected site is Nasional Science Center. The reason I choose this site is because it is in between the greeneries, where people do daily exercise activities, sports, and it is situated in close proximity to residential areas.
Due to the overdevelopment of Bukit Kiara, there are many daily waste and chemical productions being produced by the people to the nature environment. Hence, what if I can design a space which can help to protect the environment and provide an alternative exercising space to the residence of Bukit Kiara to stay healthy? So that it will be a win win situation.
PROGRAMMING
Therefore, this was why I designed my project entitled ‘Mannoyaku’. A nature inspired Ecological Enthusiasts Centre to protect the natural environment, and at the same time to provide an alternative exercising space for everyone to exercise and maintain their mental and physical health.
Therefore, for the programming activities that can help me to achieve the objective of my Mannoyaku project, is to have 2 major space which is, the Mannoyaku Ecological Park and Mannoyaku Forest-bathing Herbs Garden. Besides that, there are also some other areas such as Mannoyaku Hub, Vegetable Market, open green space, dufttunnel, reception, offices, and entrance, which will explain in more detail from my floor plan later.
Since, Mannoyaku is located in Bukit Kiara, so I will use well the resources which can be found from the site, to make herbal and health product. Because there are many types of natural herbs can be found from the Bukit Kiara Trail, which can be seen from the narrative board. Hence, the best design strategy that can help me to design an ecological alternative exercising space that can protect the environment when the public can take more active part in exercising through motion is, ‘Ecological Kinaesthesia’. The criteria of design strategy based on research are Filtration (to purify the water), Modular and Kinetic (to generate electricity and vertical farming system).
The image above shows the Programming Board of proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
In Mannoyaku Ecological Enthhusiasts Centre, there’re 3 floor levels. The ground floor, first floor and first mezzanine floor. It is open for all public to come and exercise, and to buy herbal and health products. The image above shows the Programming Board of proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
The image above shows the Schematic Floor Plans of proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
OPEN GREEN SPACE When the public first visits Mannoyaku, the first thing they’ll see is an Open Green space, where the visitors can take fresh water. There’s a walkway on both left and right, for the visitors to access. When the visitors walk along the pathway, they can see there’s an ecology tree structure located beside along the away, which is where the freshwater is located. Besides that, there’s a sitting bench provided near the front entrance for visitors to sit and enjoy the green space around the interior. Based on an article ‘The great outdoors: how a green exercise environment can benefit all’ by Daniel K Brown, when the visitors staying in a green space or exercising in the green space (later on) for the first 5 minutes, it will deliver the biggest impact on mood and self-esteem, improve mental health, eye vision and ability of focus, and reduce daily stress.
DUFTTUNNEL So, next, after visitors pass by the open green space, when they go forward, they’ll see there’s a Nature Inspired DuftTunnel Structure in front of them. It is an area where they can collect fresh water and charge a solar power bank for free.
RECEPTION AREA After walking through the dufttunnel entrance onwards, this is where the programming of Mannoyaku begins. The first thing they’ll notice in front of them is the Reception & Information counter. There’s a self check-in machine located The image above shows the Schematic Drawing Ground Floor Layout Plan for proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
There’s a self check-in machine located at the left. Therefore, the visitors can choose to register themself either from the staff-service at the reception counter or check-in machine. After registration, they’ll get a rented Mi band, free water filter bottle and mini sling pouch as the tickets for them to access other areas which is Mannoyaku Ecological Park and Mannoyaku Forest-bathing Herbs Garden. After that, it is the free-and easy time for visitors to begin the explore the whole interior spaces and activities in Mannoyaku.
MANNOYAKU HUB & VEGETABLE MARKET When they walk through the round circulated pathway. They’ll see there’s Mannoyaku Hub located at the center of the interior, where the Mannoyaku Vegetable Market is located on the right side. Hence, these are the areas for visitors to buy herbal and health products, either before or after they do sports activities or even when they come to Mannoyaku just only to purchase the products. So, from here, the visitors can buy organic vegetables, skin care, health supplements and cosmetic products that are made of natural ingredients. In the end, they can make their payment at the cashier counter which is located here. So, in this open green space, the visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature and sensory experience, like natural sunlight coming in from the rooftop, waterfall sound birds whispering, and smell the medical herbs of Gardenia Carinta. Hence, what they are experiencing from here, are actually related to the upcoming area, which is Mannoyaku Ecological Park, and Mannoyaku Forest-bathing Herbs Garden.
STAFF VS PUBLIC SPACE Besides that, if you notice the overall interior space of the ground floor plan, you will realize that the visitors can only access the public space on the center and right side. Because on the left side, is the private zone for only the staff who can access. As you can see, the Mannoyaku Office and Mannoyaku Recycle Hub is located here.
WASHROOMS, BACK EXIT Furthermore, there’s a pathway at the back, leading the visitors to the public female and male washroom, back exit, and stock loading area.
RAMPS, PNEUMATIC LIFT So, how can the visitors enter the Mannoyaku Ecological Park and ForestBathing Herbs Garden on the upper floor, is to use the ramp and pneumatic lift which is more friendly-user for older visitors. So when they use the ramp/ pneumatic lift, there’s a check-in machine located beside for visitors in order to scan the QR code from the Mi-band that they are wearing.
The image above shows the Schematic Drawing Ground Floor Layout Plan for proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
MANNOYAKU FOREST BATHING HRBS GARDEN When they use the ramp to go up to the 1st floor, they’ll see the Mannoyaku Forest Bathing Herbs Garden is located at their right. Mannoyaku Forest-bathing Herbs Garden is an area to combine the vertical farming system and water filtration structure. With this vertical farming system, it will also bring about a sensory experience of waterfalls to whoever who passes-by. This Forest-bathing Herbs Garden act as a platform to collect the rainwater from the roof and purify into clean water, transforming it into a redox signalling molecular to make health supplements. The aim of vertical farming system is to repair the damaged herbs that found from site, and to grow them in a healthier situation In the end, there will be an extraction process from medical plants involved in this area, to make health supplements and skin care products. Finally, all of the product packaging process for herbal health products and organic vegetables will be sent to Mannoyaku Recycle Hub at Ground Floor. The fresh water will be sent to the Open Green Space at the front entrance of the Ground Floor, for the visitors to collect for free. Finally, after the product packaging process is done in Mannoyaku Recycle Hub, it will be sent to Mannoyaku Hub and Vegetable Market to sell to the visitors.
The image above shows the Schematic Drawing First Floor Layout Plan for proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
MANNOYAKU ECOLOGICAL PARK The visitors can see that there’s Mannoyaku Ecological Park located along the side of the first floor. Mannoyaku Ecological Park is a nature inspired open space area for the visitors to exercise in motion such as jogging, cycling and stretching. The activities that visitors who contribute their motions from exercising in the space, will be integrated with the built-in ecology structure in Herbs Garden to generate the water purification and vertical farming system. Therefore, here is where the waterfall sound comes from.
BENCH, LOCKER, OBSERVATION DECK Besides that, there’s a locker provided beside the lift for the visitors to keep their important items. And, there’s some bench sitting and observation deck area on the floor, so that the visitors can sit and take some rest, enjoying the beauty of the interior green space, after being tired from sports activities.
FIRST MEZZANINE FLOOR How can the visitors access the First Mezzanine Floor, is to use the pneumatic lift. Basically, when they arrive, they can see there’s similar programming activities on this floor, which is the Mannoyaku Forest Bathing Herbs Garden is located at the center, and the Mannoyaku Ecological Park is located around the corner. The only difference between this Mezzanine Floor and First Floor is that, there are many voids located in this floor, so that there’re are more nature sunlight, wind and air ventilation can access to the lower floor levels, at the same time visually it looks more open space and people can see the activities happening on the lower floors.
ALLEGORY Throughout the end of the programming in Mannoyaku, the visitors will only realize that what they do in the space is actually contributing their helping hands to protect the environment.
The image above shows the Schematic Drawing First Mezzanine Floor Layout Plan for proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, The Ecological Enthusiast Sports Centre.
SECTIONS There’s 2 sections below -Section A-A & B-B. Basically, here is the front entrance where the visitors come in. When they go in, they can see there’s an open green space & dufttunnel to collect fresh water. Once they are in Mannoyaku, they can buy the organic vegetables, herbal and products from Mannoyaku Vegetables Market & Forest Bathing Herbs Garden. Behind, it is the back entrance. When you look up at the First floor and First Mezzanine Floor, it is the space where the visitors can do sports activities to contribute their helping hand to the ecological vertical farming system and water purification system in Mannoyaku ForestBathing Herbs Garden and Ecological Park. Besides that, when you look up, you’ll see that there’s dome structure skylight located on top of the roof, this is where the natural sunlight is coming from. There’s a water funnel located here, the purpose is to collect the dirty rain water from the sky. Following down to the water purification process, which will include the hybrid energy of solar power, normal electricity, and some ecological structures as when the visitors take more part in exercising in motions, to generate the ecological vertical farming and water purification system.

The image above shows the interior perspective view of Mannoyaku Forest-Bathing Hub in First Floor Level, where ecological sports activities space and vertical farming system are involved.
The image above shows the component design board for the proposed project ‘Mannoyaku’, the Ecological Enthusiasts Centre.
The reason why I’m using this color scheme is because, based on an article ‘Understanding of Color Psychology’ by Space Refinery BVBA, the yellow is the color of optimism, it’s common traits include warmth and positivity. The orange is the color of friendliness, it’s a common characteristic includes cheerfulness and confidence. Finally, green is the color of peace, it’s common traits include growth and health. The main material I’m using for the interior space is stainless steel rod and wire mesh material. Because wire mesh material allows the sunlight and ventilation coming through the interior space, the visitors can see through the activities at other zones, and visually it feels very opened. Therefore, these whole things will tie in the overall ambience of Nature Inspired Ecological Enthusiasts Centre. The image above shows the interior perspective view of Mannoyaku Forest-Bathimg Herbs Garden, where ecological water purification and vertical farming system are involved.
In the end, Mannoyaku is an Ecological Enthusiasts Centre located in Nasional Science Centre building at Bukit Kiara Kuala Lumpur. It is a place that provides an alternative exercising space for the public to exercise in a green space without bringing harm back to the natural environment. I believe that if such exercises in public spaces exist in the future, it will inspire the public to appreciate and be with nature. Because, I believe that human beings and nature should live in harmony. As humans, we can obtain a lot of resources from the environment, to survive and to live better. Ever since I realized that the environment has become more polluted as the years go by, adding to the fact that as technology has evolved, now, it is a perfect moment to contribute back to the environment and at the same time our physical health. This was why I designed ‘Mannoyaku’.
