news 2010 Kasthall casts an elegant shimmer over 2010. Lustrous sheens meet sobre, natural tones in three elegant collections by Kasthall’s Chief Designer Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg: The hand tufted rugs “Horizon” and “Mistral” in a shimmering and specially dyed linen create vibrant surfaces that change with the light and as you walk across them, and “Doris” – a woven rug in pure wool inspired by gems and diamonds. Two special hand tufted collections will also be launched. Kasthall’s new designer, Petra Lundblad-Fridén, has designed “Glimmer”, where make up and eye shadow provide the inspiration for this glittering rug with an exciting irregular shape and subtle pattern. “Karl” by Jean-Marie Massaud is a hand Tufted rug where the combination of two different pile heights builds a graceful geometric pattern. Kasthall has been designing and manufacturing unique woven and hand tufted rugs and carpets since 1889. Since its foundation the company has been operating from its own factory in Kinna, an area rich in textile manufacturing history in the west of Sweden. This is where we still make all our woven and hand tufted rugs today. Over the years, Kasthall has grown to become one of the leading international designers and manufacturers of rugs. Today the company is represented in more than 30 countries around the world. For more information about Kasthall and to see all our collections, please visit www.kasthall.com!
