ENCHANTING GROUNDS & MAGNIFICENT VICTORIAN HOUSE
BERWICK LODGE...
As you step onto the grounds, you'll be greeted by acres of natural beauty and spectacular features that seem straight out of a storybook. Our most striking feature is ‘Aphrodite’s Dome’ – with its intricately designed dome roof surrounded by marble ladies. The glistening fountain, original Victorian summerhouse, orchard, tree swing and views across to Wales, offer additional backdrops for beautiful photographs. The interior of our stunning Victorian building reflects historical British luxury and comfort with a subtle Turkish twist. Berwick Lodge understands that each baby shower is as unique as the precious little bundle of joy on the way. Whether you envision a chic and elegant affair or a relaxed and cosy gathering, the celebration rooms at Berwick Lodge are thoughtfully designed to adapt to your vision.
‘THE LOUNGE’ For groups up to 22. This is a beautiful wood-panelled room with large, sumptuous sofa seating, a feature open fireplace and views of the main gardens. ‘THE LOWER DINING ROOM’ For groups up to 36. This is a private area of the main restaurant; a wonderfully bright room, with sparkling chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grounds. ‘THE MESOPOTAMIA’ For groups up to 60. The original stable block, adjacent to the main hotel is ideal for private events. The ground floor room, Mesopotamia, is a spacious room with plenty of natural light, direct access to a private garden area, and views on the countryside beyond.

TIMINGS We have two timeslots available for our baby showers. You’ll be able to arrive 30 minutes before to set up any decorations. 12:00-2:30pm 3:30-5:30pm

Are we able to enjoy the 18 acres of grounds? You are more than welcome to wander the gardens and woodland surrounding Berwick Lodge – the space is truly beautiful and perfect for memorable photographs.

Does Berwick Lodge have car parking? Yes, we have complimentary parking suitable for up to 50 cars.

Do you have bedrooms, so we can extend the celebration? We have 14 individually designed bedrooms, do ask us more about rates and requirements.

Can we explore the hotel? There are a few communal areas within the hotel you are welcome to use, however, we kindly ask that you are mindful of other guests and exploring, as they too may have hired a private space and you may stumble into their gathering.
What do we do about dietary requirements? Please kindly collate a list at your earliest convenience. These guests will be just as lovingly taken care of if advised in advance. Can we bring our own catering? We do not allow external catering; all items are made in-house by our fabulous kitchen team with two-rosette status! Of course, you are welcome to bring items such as cupcakes and sweets.

Please can I see our menu? A lot of our menus change seasonally, so may not be available at the time of your booking. However, we can show sample menus and will of course send over your menus as soon as they are completed.

Does Berwick Lodge have disabled access and/or a lift? We have level and ramp access into the main lodge and Mews, as well as a lift that can reach both floors for bedrooms within the main hotel. There is an accessible toilet by the front entrance.

You have a few decorations included but can we add more? We have tealight candles and bud vases of flowers for you to use. We allow 30 minutes of setup beforehand, which you are welcome to decorate how you please (or even hire a professional stylist if you prefer!) – we kindly ask that you don’t leave any marks and that clear-up is completed within your hire time.
Can I amend my event requirements and numbers once booked? Your contract will note full details on amendments, cancellation and minimum spend. What does planning look like? Once you're booked in, we’ll send you some documents that will need to be completed. We kindly ask that these be returned by 14 days before the event, and ask that these include all requirements, final numbers, and changes.

How do we book and when are payments due? Once you’re happy with your quote, we’ll ask for a couple of details so that we can send you an invoice and contract. We asked for a 25% deposit and signed the contract within 7 days of issuing to confirm the booking. Final and full payment is due 10 days before the event.

Can we extend our time? Of course, as long as prearranged we are happy to discuss additional and alternative times. Unfortunately, on the day it may not be possible for you to extend your event, however, we will try and accommodate whenever possible.
