Tallinn A trend-conscious shopping city
Tallinn has been a rich trading city since the Hanseatic era. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with pitched roofs, merchant houses, courtyards and watchtowers, bears witness to its former commercial splendour. Today, the city’s commercial life is more vibrant than ever. Numerous modern, internationally acclaimed shopping centres, each with its own personality and atmosphere, have made Tallinn one of the most valued shopping destinations in the Baltics. The city with a lively rhythm of life consistently contributes to environmentally friendly development, which is why it is one of the finalists in the European Green Capital 2022 competition.
