Why “Firepoint”? The origin of the restaurant’s name is actually a very simple one. “Firepoint” is a reference to the point at which a substance reaches a high enough temperature for combustion – aka the point at which it bursts into flames. With Firepoint’s expansive wood-fired menu (you can smell the oak and cherry wood right when you enter their parking lot!) the name truly speaks to the meticulous preparation of some of their top menu items – like pizza prepared in a custom wood-fired pizza oven that was made in Italy.

The family ties. Firepoint is part of a larger family of restaurants that got its start a bit north of Newtown Square. Restaurateur George Paxos, owner of Paxos Restaurants, opened his first restaurant in Bethlehem, PA in 1980. That property, now known as Blue Grillhouse and Event Center, quickly established itself as the forefront of fine dining trends, and is still welcoming guests through its doors today. Firepoint is the newest of the Paxos Restaurants, which also includes Italian, Mexican, and Steakhouse concepts in Center Valley, PA. Every Paxos Restaurant offers a truly unique menu, design, and style, but all with the same commitment to quality food, atmosphere, and service.
