Dear Friends & Neighbors, What a difference a year makes! This month last year, I was welcoming readers to our first edition of Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors magazine. It was a rewarding task after months of start-up effort to launch Newtown Square’s free monthly magazine.

ON THE COVER The Tulskie Family at St. Albans Swim & Tennis Club in Newtown Square
I’ve been told by many readers that when our first edition arrived in the mail, they knew something very different was under way. The combination of our very local and friendly magazine name, quality design, and of course having a Newtown Township family on the cover, made it understandable immediately that Newtown Square hometown pride was taking a big leap forward. As we begin our second year, we do so with twice the page count and three times as many advertisers than when we launched. We call our advertisers “Sponsors” because the financial commitment these local business leaders make to our magazine makes it possible for our hometown magazine to be mailed for free each month, and to also be available online at: www.NewtownSqaureMag.com. In this anniversary edition we also welcome two new Sponsors and Expert Contributors to Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors, and both also have their first Expert Contributor Feature articles in our magazine this month along with their first ads. We welcome from Bryn Mawr Glass, brothers Dave Gura and Lew Gura. They are bona fide Experts, for sure. Bryn Mawr Glass (located now in Havertown) has been the local leader in custom glass and mirror for any kind of residential or commercial project for over 70 years! And Dave and Lew are not wasting time in sharing their expertise with us. Check out their very first Expert Contributor feature article this month on page 18. Our other new Sponsor and Expert Contributor is our new Financial Advisor in Residence, Ryan Gray of Oppenheimer & Co. Ryan has impressed me with his integrity, and his knowledge of financial markets. I highly recommend Ryan Gray. Thank you, Ryan, for agreeing to serve Newtown Square Friends & Neighbors as our go-to guy for answers to our financial investment questions. Check out Ryan’s first Expert Contributor feature article this month on page 29. Thanks for a great first year. If possible, reach out to our new Sponsors, Dave and Lew of Bryn Mawr Glass, and Ryan Gray at Oppenheimer & Co., to thank them for their sponsorship of our Newtown Square community. And whenever possible, Shop Local.
