We’re pleased to announce the May Sproul Lanes Student of the Month is Marple Newtown High School Senior Evan Duff! To celebrate this recognition, Evan received a Certificate of Achievement and looks forward to enjoying his award: a “Pizza Bowl” party courtesy of Sproul Lanes, our sponsor of this program. Evan loves playing basketball: During all four years in high school, he has played for Marple Newtown’s basketball team. In his junior year, he was awarded the Varsity team’s “Eye of the Tiger Award,” for his work ethic and good leadership. As a senior, Evan was Varsity team captain and was recognized with the “Tiger Pride Award” for his team leadership. Some community service projects Evan has participated in are Project 10, a fundraiser for Philabundance that involved getting pledges from donors, and doing and tracking participants’ good deeds for the community. Evan attends St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church and participates in its Youth Association (GOYA), on their basketball team and as a volunteer helper at various annual events. Evan has always enjoyed school. He has a way about him that people gravitate to, perhaps because he’s a positive person who’s able to make the best of most situations. Evan has many friends and has developed good relationships with his teachers and fellow students.
