Most Powerful Words

Have you ever thought about the words that have the power to make the biggest impact on your life? Martial arts teaches students that they are capable of achieving greatness in all areas of their lives and the secret is in reciting the 3 most powerful words: “YES I CAN!” If you recite these words each day and repeat them every time you are faced with a challenge, you will see improved confidence and performance. You will reach more goals than before and reach them faster because you are no longer standing in your own way. There is more to the magic, of course, than just saying the words; they must be accompanied by a belief that they will work.

4. Speak with clarity and confidence. We’ve all heard the statement “It’s not what you say but how you say it.” When speaking with an individual, a small group or an auditorium full of people, use a clear and confident voice. Your words carry power if they are delivered correctly. By adopting a “Yes I Can!” attitude and following the steps above, you will find that you are in control of your future. Practice these steps at every opportunity and you will see more personal growth than you imagined possible. NS

Here are some steps you can put into action, to start seeing immediate results. 1. Set goals and break them into smaller steps. After you decide what you want, break up your goal into bite-size chunks. As you reach each step, your confidence will grow and your walk will soon become a jog and then an all-out run as you head towards the finish line. Remember to always celebrate your achievements and don’t wait too long to set a new goal.

2. Stand like a Superhero. By standing tall with your shoulders back and eyes up, you not only portray to others that you are confident but more importantly, it will change the way you feel about yourself. When we feel confident and pow- erful, it allows us to accomplish great things. 3. Eye contact. Make sure you always look into the eyes of the person you’re speaking with or who is speaking to you. This will ensure that you are staying in the present moment, focused and not letting your mind drift to other things. When speaking to others, making eye contact shows that you are confident about your message.
