Streetwear giant, Stussy, set to open UK standalone store with an unmissable launch party. On Friday the 25th of August 2017, leading American streetwear brand, Stussy will open their doors to the public from their new home in the heart of Shoreditch, London. Launching back in the UK after a long 9 years, Stussy will be welcoming their tribes into the new location of BOXPARK, Shoreditch. The official launch event will be held from 7pm till late on the 25th of August, with a remarkable plan in store. Hosting entertainment from Hip-Hop genius’s, 4our Pillars, the night is set to kick off with a bang. From Dj’s, to Mc’s, to Break dancers and Aerosol Artists, Stussy are ready to re-introduce themselves into the city of London, and they are ready to do it the right way. The party will be held above the store, on the outdoor terrace where free street food and free alcoholic beverages will be served to guests. ¬ With London, limited edition T-shirts available on the night, it is expected to be a popular one, with only 75 tees being sold per design, Stussy enthusiasts will be rounding up from across the city to grab themselves this rare collective. Stussy legend and co-founder, Frank Sinatra will also be making a rare appearance on the night to introduce himself to his new store neighbours and to meet and greet his guests. In discussion about the new store with Sinatra, he claims ‘We hope this new space can somehow empower the next generation. We want the shop to appeal to a cross-section of customers, from DJs to skate kids to super-informed fashion heads, and who knows we may just find our first members of the new London tribe on the night of the launch’. With Stussy’s enthusiasts at the forefront of everything they do, they are a very personal brand that enjoy engagement and seek friendship in their shoppers. Stussy is inevitably the world’s giant of streetwear, combining its love for subcultures including skating, graffiti art and hip-hop, with its passion of creating original, high-quality products, the brand never fails to succeed year on year. From launching in 1980, Shawn Stussy travelled the world in the 80s to form his international Stussy tribe (a tribe of influential creatives) and from that has quite evidently made the brand what it is today. The event will be held on the 25th August 2017, just before the bank holiday weekend commences, giving people the perfect opportunity to start the weekend with a party, the event will take place from 7pm-12pm andwill be located above the store on the outdoor terrace, BOXPARK. There will be live entertainment throughout the night of the event hosted by 4our pillars, a group that am to bring the 4 core elements of hip-hop culture under one roof using talented DJ’s, MC’s, Break Dancers and Aerosol Artists. The musicians and breakers will provide excitement and bring atmosphere to the night, fitting in perfectly with Stussy’s international tribe activities. Street style food will also be served by BOXPARK, and free beer will be handed out to guests. (within moderation). Co-founder Frank Sinatra will be attending the event to chat to journalists and regular guests about his time at Stussy, although there will be no official interview or speech, he will be on hand throughout the night to express his love for what he does. It is not often he makes an appearance in this stage of his career, so the fact he will be present on the night will be a privilege to all that attend.
