Barranquilla is the capital of the Atlantic department. Is placed over the Magdalena river. Barranquilla was the principal entrance point to Colombia for many inmigrants. Is home of one of the most important celebrations in Colombia: Barranquilla’s Carnival, declared oral and inmaterial patrimonio of humanity by Unesco on 2003. -Our zoo has one of the few white tigers in the world. - Our carnival is also cultural patrimonio of the nation. Description The project seeks, through innovative and creative activities, to strengthen educational processes and foster multiculturalism, creating a global mindset in youngsters. The main purpose is to foster multiculturalism in educational institutions, adolescents, letting them to widen their perspective about the world and their global knowledge. Job Description Create and execute workshops in leadership and Global Citizen to the students participating in the project, create dynamics and ludic activities to engage the Students in learning about different countries and cultures. PRADO KINDERGARDEN Social Issue: Cultural Understanding
Description At “Prado Kindergarden� you will share with kids your culture and learn about them .Make a positive experience and a social impact for them. This Project seeks to strengthen education and development in current topics of interest in children. It is executed with fun activities, workshops, presentations and a multicultural environment. Job Description Create and execute workshops given in English to the students participating in the project, create dynamics and ludic activities to engage the Students in learning English as a second language. We suggest activities involving MUSIC, DANCE and ART. Create a global environment doing multicultural activities that encourages the opening of global mindset in participants. You must bring some country typical elements (specially food, music, dances, maps, clothes), for a Global Village It is also trainees responsibility to participate in AIESEC events such as other Global Villages and trainings. At the end of the project you should prepare a report of your work for internal management. We Speak Social Issue: Literacy Description WeSPEAK looks for Potentiating and enhancing the teaching and learning of English especially the practical-conversational field, developing communication skills and increased language fluency. It’s aimed to educative institutions and languages institutes Job Description Prepare sessions and workshops about cultural and language topics. Each day is a different workshop for the language and cultural lessons. Prepare conversational spaces at least once each week of the project, putting into practice the knowledge that students have learned throughout each week. You must bring some country typical elements (specially food, music, dances, maps, clothes), for a Global Village It is also trainees responsibility to participate in AIESEC events such as other Global Villages and trainings. At the end of the project you should prepare a report of your work for internal management.
