The Clergy and all the staff would like to thank you for your Christmas cards and good wishes. In turn, we wish everyone a happy, blessed and peaceful 2020 THE FLOWERS today have been given by Monica Slocombe in loving memory of Rodney. TODAY we welcome the Rt Revd Chris Edmondson as our preacher at the 10.15am Eucharist and the Revd Canon Mike Cansdale, a member of our College of Canons, who will be our preacher at Choral Evensong. This morning the Dean will be preaching at Wakefield Cathedral. THIS WEEK and NEXT STITCHING@BRADFORDCATHEDRAL Our stitchers meet for the first time in 2020 this Tuesday 7th January at 1pm. If you want to join them or to find out more just turn up or you can telephone Jill Wright on 01535 634526 CARERS also meets after their Christmas break in the Parish Room this Tuesday at 10am. All new and previous carers are welcome to join in for a chat, crafts and a cuppa. WOMEN OF FAITH BOOK GROUP meets on Tuesday 7th at Waterstones Bookshop at 11am and everyone is welcome. They will be looking at the book ‘The Secret Rooms’ by Catherine Bailey. TODDLERS restarts this coming Friday the 10th and meets from 10am – 11.30am in the Parish Room. New children (with their grown up) are always welcome. MONDAY FELLOWSHIP meets a week on Monday the 13th at 2pm in the Parish Room, when Dean Jerry’s talk will be entitled ‘On the Way – the pilgrimage of faith’. Why not start the new year by joining the group, which meets monthly and enjoy refreshments afterwards? COFFEE CONCERT The first Coffee Concert of 2020 is on Tuesday 14th January, when we will welcome baritone singer James Gaughan. Coffee and cake will be served from 10.30am and the concert will start at 11am. There will be a retiring collection KEEPING IN TOUCH Pick up the January copy today or look at it online. THE WHAT’S ON BOOKLET for January – April 2020 is now available to view and download on the Cathedral website and will be available in printed form in the new year. COFFEE DUTY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.The new coffee rota after the main Sunday morning service has become a bit depleted and is in need of some new people to join the teams to provide tea and coffee after the 10.15 service. If you are interested and want to know more, please would you get in touch with either Canon Paul or Monica Slocombe after the service.
