MACPHIE RED VELVET MIX This unique cake mix bakes light-as-a-feather, moist cakes with a vampy red appearance and a subtle chocolate flavour. Stock up now! RED VELVET CUPCAKES INGREDIENTS 1kg Macphie Red Velvet Cake Mix 340g Eggs 280g Oil 208g Water Vanilla or Cream Cheese Rainbow Frosting METHOD Add Velvet Cake Mix to eggs in a mixer fitted with the beater. Mix on 1st speed for 1 minute followed by 3 minutes on 2nd speed. Add the oil and water and mix on 1st speed for 1 minute. Scrape down bowl then mix for a further 3 minutes on 1st speed. Deposit 30g of batter into paper cases in muffin trays. Bake at 180ºC (360ºF) for 20 minutes. Leave to cool then top with Vanilla Rainbow Frosting. Decorate with cake crumbs or sprinkles. RED VELVET WHOOPIES INGREDIENTS 1kg Macphie Red Velvet Cake Mix 340g Eggs 280g Oil 208g Water Vanilla Rainbow Frosting Sweet Snow® METHOD Add Velvet Cake Mix to eggs in a mixer fitted with the beater. Mix on 1st speed for 1 minute followed by 3 minutes on 2nd speed. Add the oil and water and mix on 1st speed for 1 minute. Scrape down bowl then mix for a further 3 minutes on 1st speed. Pipe 2" rounds (approx 35g) of batter onto baking tray. Bake at 180ºC (360ºF) for 15 minutes. Leave to cool. Pipe a swirl of Vanilla Rainbow Frosting and sandwich together. Dust with Sweet Snow.® RED VELVET CAKE POPS INGREDIENTS 1kg Red Velvet Cake Crumbs 5th Avenue® Chocolate Icing (Heated to 50ºC) Dark, White Chocolate or Milk Chocolate Sprinkles METHOD Combine cake crumbs and 5th Avenue® Chocolate Icing together. Roll 50g of the mixture into balls. Stick a lollipop stick into each ball and set into the fridge for 20-30 minutes, or until firm. Dip into melted chocolate and coat in sprinkles. Leave to set on greaseproof paper. RED VELVET CELEBRATION CAKE INGREDIENTS 1kg Macphie Red Velvet Cake Mix 340g Eggs 280g Oil 208g Water Vanilla Rainbow Frosting Cherries METHOD Add Velvet Cake Mix to eggs in a mixer fitted with the beater. Mix on 1st speed for 1 minute followed by 3 minutes on 2nd speed. Add the oil and water and mix on 1st speed for 1 minute. Scrape down bowl then mix for a further 3 minutes on 1st speed. Deposit 900g batter into 9" round tin and bake at 180ºC (360ºF) for 45 minutes. Leave to cool. Slice cake in two across the middle. Fill with Vanilla Rainbow Frosting and sandwich together. Spread Vanilla Rainbow Frosting on top and sides of cake with a palette knife. Finish with cherries or other decorations.
