Teaching Pools / Ŷƚ ƌ ŽĚƵĐ ƚ ŝ ŽŶ Teaching pools are a system used by schools, where candidates apply to become part of the pool. Schools are then able to view ‘approved’ applications and contact a candidate with job opportunities.
tŚŽ ƌ ƵŶƐ ƚ ŚĞ ƉŽŽů Ɛ ͍ Most pools are run by local authorities, who recruit, on behalf of local schools. Some regions will run their own pool through a consortium of schools. Sometimes a recruitment agency will run a pool on behalf of schools in their area.
tŚĞŶ ƚ Ž Ă ƉƉů LJ Some teaching pools will open their recruitment cycle during the autumn term. Some will also close their pools in the autumn term.

The screening process may also include attending an interview, before being approved and added to the pool. Once you are part of the pool, your application form will be distributed to schools, who will then contact you with job opportunities.
