Group Bookings Manager All Group Booking Executives
REPORTS TO:
General Manager
JOB PURPOSE The Group Bookings Manager will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the Group Department at The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. They will manage, lead, and develop the Group Bookings Department, with a view to maximising sales for the department.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED
3 years experience in management ideally in the arts sector
Excellent customer service, administration, organisational & communication skills essential
A passion for theatre and the arts
Experience of a fast pace sales environment
Educated to degree level, desirable
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES To lead and manage the Group Bookings department.
Design and implement Group Sales strategies to ensure all sales targets are met. These can include cold calling to attract new group bookers, direct mail amongst others
Team management and motivation.
To research and indentify potential group bookers both locally and nationally, whilst maintaining and excellent communications and relationships with current group bookers
Provide reports to internal departments and external companies on show sales.
To be the first point of contact for all group bookers & patrons with access issues, while obtaining as much information as possible at the point of sale for relationship development.
Work with the Marketing Department to design and distribute groups’ literature and promotional material, such as ezines and to communicate the objectives of the department to the public.
To conduct any other duties as directed by the management team.
