We look forward to welcoming you to our Livestream event: Irish National Opera presents: ‘La bohème’ – Live from Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin Saturday 13th March at 7.30pm GMT ‘La bohème’ will be sung in Italian with English subtitles

TO VIEW ON THE DAY OF EVENT 1. We recommend fully testing your set up (e.g. Smart TV, laptop etc) in advance of the stream so you’re ready for the live performance. 2. On the day of the event you will receive an email 30 minutes before performance time with a unique fivecharacter stream access code and link allowing entry to the livestream. 3. Access to the live stream begins 30 minutes before the event starts – once you’ve received your five character code via email simply visit www.dice.fm/stream on the device you'd like to use 4. Enter your phone number you used to register your DICE account and your unique five-character stream access code to access the stream. 5. Press play and enjoy the performance!

COMPATIBLE VIEWING DEVICES 

You can watch the show on a mobile phone, laptop, smart TV, tablet or games console.

To watch on your device of choice, you will be emailed a unique five-character code 30 minutes before the stream is about to start.

Visit www.dice.fm/stream on the device you'd like to use, and then enter your phone number and the fivecharacter code to access the video. Press play and enjoy the performance!

For the best viewing experience, we recommend connecting to the stream by ‘casting it’ on a Smart TV. Casting allows you to watch the performance on your Smart TV by mirroring your phone/tablet to your TV. You can find further information on this below.


If viewing via a laptop or mobile, we recommend that you use headphones or speakers to avail of the best quality audio. It is advised to fully test your set up in advance of the stream so you are all set for the performance.

We recommend checking that the device you want to watch on has a browser (such as Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox) and has the ability for you to enter a URL and interact with the page, so you can enter your phone number and stream access code.

TO WATCH ON A SMART TV VIA ‘CASTING’ 

If you have a Smart TV the best way to watch the performance is to ‘cast’ the performance from a device’s screen e.g. smartphone/iPad/tablet to your Smart TV. Casting your device’s screen lets you mirror your device to the TV so you can enjoy the content exactly as you see it on your mobile device—only bigger.

There are two options available to cast the performance to an alternative device:  iOS / AirPlay - full info available here.  Chromecast - full info available here.

If you'd like to test that you can cast the event in advance of the broadcast. Please go to this testing link and try to cast it to your chosen device.

When setting up casting you may asked for asked for a 4 digit TV code – this is often 0000 or 1234

If you experience difficulties with either of these options, please enter www.dice.fm/stream into your smart TV's browser, and enter your phone number and the code to access the video. Hit play and enjoy!

HOW TO ‘CAST’ FROM IPHONE, IPAD, OR IPOD TOUCH 1. Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. 2. Visit www.dice.fm/stream on the device you'd like to use, enter your phone number and the five-character code to access the video. 3. Tap 4. Choose your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. 1. To stop streaming, tap

in the app you're streaming from, then tap your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch from the

list.

HOW TO ‘CAST’ FROM A MAC


1. Connect your Mac to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. 2. On your Mac, open www.dice.fm/stream on the device you'd like to use, enter your phone number and the five-character code to access the video and press play by tapping 3. in the video playback controls, then choose Turn Off AirPlay.

HOW TO ‘CAST’ FROM AN ANDROID 1. Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android TV. 2. Open the app that has the content you want to cast. 3. In the app, find and select ‘Cast’ . 4. On your device, select the name of your TV . 5. When ‘Cast’ changes colour, you're successfully connected

TO WATCH ON A SMARTPHONE    

To watch the stream on your phone, download the DICE app (available via Apple or Google Play App Stores) When using the app for the first time you will be sent 4 digit registration code made up of numbers that allows you to log in. This is not your stream access code and will not grant you access to the stream. Once registered go to the ‘Tickets’ section. A yellow 'Watch Now' button will appear on your ticket one hour before the show starts – this will take you directly through to the stream. Press play and enjoy!

TROUBLESHOOTING 

If you have trouble accessing the stream, please refresh your browser window, click play and check the sound is turned up.
