In addition to solar energy, we utilize advanced reverse osmosis technology to provide 9,000 gallons of fresh and clean water sourced directly from the surrounding ocean. The state of the art photovoltaic (PV) system ensures reliable, environmentally friendly resources for every residence. PV stores 130kwH and the solar array is 70Kw, The Island has two back up MQ 45kw WhisperWatt diesel generators, freshwater lens and well which is an uncommon but highly valued feature on remote islands. Hummingbird Cay also boasts a 40,000 gallons of freshwater cistern storage. Each of the homes has its own septic system. This environmentally conscious approach not only minimizes our impact on the local ecosystem but also guarantees a constant supply of pure water for our guests to enjoy.
