national apprenticeship week 2015 A great success.. National Apprenticeship Week in 2015 was bigger and better than ever before. With more than 60 high profile events happening across the two counties - providers and partners came up with a really innovative and creative mix of events. “Without a doubt we reached thousands of young people, parents and employers to raise awareness about apprenticeships. I’m very proud of our network and what we achieved by working together. Top Right Thursday 12th March - Bedford Jobcentre Plus held an apprenticeship awareness presentation to encourage uptake and participation. Below Right Thursday 12th March CILEx ran a Question Time debate with Bedford and Kempston MP candidates. Candidates answered questions from local business leaders, employers, schools and colleges, as well as from apprentices.

Herts County CounciL Apprenticeship Awareness workshop for staff Hertfordshire County Council held an Apprenticeship Awareness Workshop for their staff. The workshop featured a range of interesting speakers including Anna Morrison, Manager of the Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Provider Network pictured top left, Tracey Welbury, a parent of a Hertfordshire apprentice pictured top right and Craig Watkins from Hertfordshire County Council.

Hemel Hempstead Apprenticeship Week Activities Hemel Hempstead Jobcentre Plus held an Apprenticeship event. Staff, local employers and training providers spoke with claimants seeking more information about apprenticeships. Hannah Sweeting from KEITS Training Services was on hand to give advice about apprenticeships pictured top left.

Apprenticeship workshop & Speed Dating with Employers, letchworth jobcentre plus Letchworth Jobcentre Plus held speed dating. Attendees met with employers who could offer apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities. A presentation was also given by North Hertfordshire College.

Hertford Regional College & Jobcentre Plus Apprenticeship jobsfair Hertford Regional College hosted an Apprenticeship Jobsfair in partnership with Jobcentre Plus. Local residents met Training Providers and employers to hear about a range of apprenticeships. Youth connexions & Jobcentre Plus Watford Apprenticeships Day Jobcentre Plus and Youth Connexions organised a drop in event for young people aged 1624. Employers and training providers offered interactive, fun and engaging sessions so attendees were able to explore their options and learn about progression opportunities. The Mall, Luton National Apprenticeship Week Luton Borough Council in partnership with The Mall, Luton held a 3 day celebration of apprenticeships. A range of local employers and training providers were on hand to give expert advice about the range of fantastic apprenticeship job opportunities available in Luton. Hertfordshire County Council Higher Apprenticeship Workshop for schools Hertfordshire County Council ran a 1/2 day workshop for school advisors about Higher Apprenticeships. The event was attended by Heads of 6th form and Careers Advisors who heard from Cheryl Wood, Pearson, Stacey Cullen, an apprentice with Vinci construction, local secondary schools, Anna Morrison, B&HPN and Kate Carter Freedom Communications.
