D

o you ever have this magical feeling that something incredible is about to happen? Once the cold winter chills evaporate with but a mere trace from the two European cities I call home, I can’t help but suddenly feel alive. Springtime brings endless happiness, a form of rebirth to those who have endured a long winter. It’s a moment of ease and comfort, of getting out and letting go, and of enjoying the dazing sun on our pale skin. I don’t know about you, but I for one have been waiting anxiously for this time of the year. A slight morning chill in the air, warm afternoons spent with friends and family, and indulging in the new style trends that have already made their way into the shops. The magical feeling that something incredible is about to happen? That’s when I feel it. New forms take the streets as IT girls sport the trendiest trends that have been inspired by fashion many years ago. A revival of the 70s has brought out a modern take on the very best pieces of the time: flared bell-bottom trousers with a sophisticated ease for work, a denim overload with multi-textured patches, bohemian evening florals, and fringe and suede accents are simply must-haves in your Spring wardrobe. But let’s not forget about the Power Girl in a sophisticated black and white jumpsuit, or fabulously wearing a tailored Kimono to her liking. Spring 2015 is a concoction of the best trends gathered throughout the last forty years. Whether it be to mix one new season trend piece with an outfit, or going all out and being a total trend follower, definitely embrace this seasons styles without hesitation! rin Grey Couture is a luxurious and versatile bridal couture and eveningwear brand, designed by C.J. Bostrom who has worked with brides for over 8 years, and who is the owner of J. Major’s Bridal Boutique.

Erin Grey Couture was born out of Bostrom’s love for fashion and bridalwear, where she envisioned a unique concept of having the ability to ‘create your couture’. In an exclusive interview with the talented designer, Bostrom tells BGC Magazine about how her brand came to be, her inspirations, and a little hint at the exquisite ideas for her upcoming collections!

BGC MAG: As the founder and designer for Erin Grey Couture, what inspired you to create a bridal couture and eveningwear brand?

How does she dress, where does she go, and what does she like?

BGC MAG: The concept of ‘creating your couture’ is such a unique and powerful idea! Can you tell us more about it?

C.J. BOSTROM: It’s a concept for those who haven’t either found all the unique qualities in one garment or for those who wish to change for the reception but still want part of their bridal gown to be a part of the look. Also, why not wear a part of your wedding gown for another occasion? For example I wore a two piece when I got married. To this day I still wear the bodice, which was a strapless guipure lace top with ivory wide leg pants, to social events. This makes it more practical especially if you are budget conscious or if you want the ability to celebrate your one year anniversary by wearing a part of your gown. BGC MAG: And finally, what stunning creations can we expect to see from you in the coming season?

C.J. BOSTROM: I’m looking more into modern fits and styling very much like Oscar, with clean lines and just little hints of couture accessories that will totally change the look. Additionally I’m looking into a realm of the surfer bride. A girl who isn’t boho chic but loves the water and the beach, and has a very natural look, however upgraded with some glam.
