UNA HISTÒRIA DEL JAZZ MODERN La història de Blue Note Records és la història d'Alfred Lion i Frank Wolff, dos jueus alemanys que en la dècada dels anys trenta del segle passat, van emigrar a Nova York i van convertir en professió el seu amor pel jazz negre nord-americà. A través de la cerca d'una identificació visual i sonora, van fer de Blue Note un segell caracteritzat pel jazz d'avantguarda i una presentació singular i moderna de l'art de la portada dels seus discos. Blue Note Records ha exercit un paper vital en el desenvolupament del jazz durant més de 70 anys, amb obres d'alguns dels més grans músics de jazz de la història, com John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Art Blakey, Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Taj Mahal i molts altres.
