Taking a leap toward globally leading banks

Hana Bank will continue to spare no effort in providing support to BIDV as a strategic business partner and strive to reinforce the partnership between the two banks.

On behalf of Hana Bank, I would like to congratulate the chairman and BIDV on the bank's 65th anniversary. Since its establishment in 1957, BIDV has developed itself as one of the biggest and most successful banks in Vietnam. Starting from the successful IPO, followed by its listing on Ho Chi Minh Stock exchange, BIDV is now one of the largest banks in Vietnam in terms of asset size with its total asset reaching VND1.76 trillion as of the end of the last year.

It is also very meaningful that BIDV was named the Best Retail Bank in Vietnam 2022 by the Asian Banker Magazine for seven consecutive years under its slogan "Bring the best benefit to customers, shareholders, employees, and the community." Again, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and the members of BIDV.

Hana Bank's investment in BIDV in 2019 was a strategic investment that was the largest in size in the Vietnamese banking industry. BIDV and Hana Bank, based on a solid partnership and a synergy to work as a team, are taking a leap toward globally leading banks. I believe the chairman and the management team's leadership and a strong drive for achievement guided BIDV in the right direction in the face of a difficult business environment in 2021.

Moreover, it is very fortunate to have the two banks work together through exchange programs and other activities amid an unprecedented crisis posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Hana Bank will continue to spare no effort in providing support to BIDV as a strategic business partner and strive to reinforce the partnership between the two banks.

I've heard that BIDV decided to introduce a new CI to incorporate values such as innovation and prosperity in celebration of its 65th anniversary. I fully support BIDV's effort and hard work to create new values in a rapidly changing financial environment with the new CI characterized by emerald green color and apricot flower blossoms of the spring.

Once again, I would like to congratulate you on the BIDV's 65th anniversary from the bottom of my heart, and I will greet you during the 65th-anniversary ceremony in April.
