South Gloucestershire Asian Project celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the prestigious Hilton Hotel, Aztec West, Bristol. The theme of the Dinner/Dance was Shaadi, an Indian wedding. As the two emcees, Sangeeta and Bharat, both do programming with Radio Mast FM, put it it’s a unique wedding, a mixture of Gujarat, Tamil and Punjabi traditions blended with the Bride and Groom. This year’s event was attended by record crowds from the community in Bristol and surrounding areas. Chairman of the Hindu Temple, Rasik Patel told Mast Magazine that the committee went to great lengths to ensure that all attendees had a great time and enjoyed the hospitality of the Temple. Navrati is a nine night’s tradition that precedes the Festival of Light, Deepavali or popularly referred to as DIWALI. Seen below in the background Chairman Rasik Patel admiring Goddess Laxmi.
