USCHA is a very different organization At the USCHA there is one question that gets asked frequently. What is the difference in the USCHA compared to other cutting organizations? This is a good question asked by professionals, nonprofessionals and show producers. Our reply is as follows…………

At the USCHA we choose to look at “differences” in our association compared to other associations as a management style otherness creating great products that promote and add to current opportunities for horse enthusiasts interested in cutting horse and ranch cutting competitions today. The USCHA works diligently to provide 100% free membership to all. In addition, it is very important for competitors as well as show producers to know that at no time is any percentage of purse or prize monies subtracted from the payout and sent to the association. Also, there are no show application fees, affiliate dues, bonds required, software per run fees etc……. The USCHA strives to keep its fees less than other organizations. However, at the USCHA it is highly recognized that it is the association’s job to keep great records (in house) such as horse and rider earnings, show results and uphold the organization’s rules. The USCHA must meet all standards set forth by the organization’s rules to sanction and produce quality events for the members. It is USCHA’s responsibility to gain individual sponsorship and corporate partnerships not only for the support of the association’s produced events but also for show producers that choose to sanction with the USCHA. The founding members of the USCHA (all who have extensive experience producing cutting horse events) realize and understand that show producers typically have all the liability and do all the work. That is why sponsorship and cooperate partner dollars gained by the USCHA are used to support all show producers with a portion of their expenses and or awards. This co-op management style is being used at the USCHA to give more back to the cutters. We cannot completely answer the original question without letting cutters know that the USCHA recognizes it is the organization’s job to create “goals” in competition. The USCHA’s annual National Finals and all new Regional Extravaganza Weekend cuttings, we are told, are the best kept secrets in weekend cutting today! That makes the USCHA proud! Many new industry concepts that have been created by USCHA members are now being introduced in other organizations. The USCHA is flattered! Lastly, talking “differences” the USCHA payout is strong, show producers have needed flexibility to have better shows, youth/high school rodeo cutting is a part of the USCHA, the USCHA has encompassed ranch cutting which gives the association the opportunity to introduce or reintroduce those participating in other equine disciplines the sport of cutting and the USCHA pride and joy difference is a culture that has been created by the best group of members an association can have!
