IS 313/339 Littles and the NYPD 42nd Precinct

The Bigs in Blue program, a flourishing collaboration between IS 313/339 and the NYPD 42nd Precinct, exemplifies the power of community partnerships in the Bronx. Since its inception in 2018, this initiative has been fostering relationships between law enforcement officers and students in grades 6-8. Recognized for their exceptional commitment, the officers from the 42nd Precinct were honored as “Rookies of the Year” at the annual BBBS of NYC Volunteer Recognition Ceremony. Over the past six years, the program has ignited a new wave of enthusiasm among students, eagerly vying for the opportunity to engage and learn from their local police officers.
