Providing residential flats as part of one of the fastest growing neighbourhoods: the heart of Camden Town, while finding a method of connection to its public realm.
Fissure is a term used in architecture to describe a crack through a building, which in this ca Locks Interchange Building. Through this method, the building has opened itself up to flood crossing and public access through the building.
The new fabric of the building consists of self supporting pre-cast concrete as its new structu of protection to the original structure of the Interchange building, protecting its original colu fabric acts as a shell and support for the old fabric. Normally with building like these the faca within the building. However with this design I have done the opposite where the alteration of the building.
