Downtown Forsyth’s biggest event, Ducks Days features a parade, good eats, live entertainment and much more. The first thing to do is adopt a rubber duck for $10 from participating Forsyth businesses.Your duck will be entered in the Duck Race on the Yellowstone River, where it can win you a prize from $50 to $1,000. The funds will be used to support Chamber activities throughout the year. The event starts bright and early on Saturday morning with the Rosebud County Health Care Center Fun Run at 6:30 a.m. and Blacktop 3-on-3 basketball tournament at 8:30 a.m. At 1 p.m., head downtown and set-up your chairs for the parade. Other events happening throughout the day include pool open swim from 1 to 3 p.m.; a sidewalk dart tournament at 2 p.m.; and car show on Main Street also at 2 p.m. If that isn’t enough, stop by the Forsyth Fire Department Chili Cook-off at 2 p.m. on Main Street and stay for the Forsyth Fire Department’s Hose Launch Duck Race at 3 p.m. Don’t forget to journey down to the Yellowstone River for the main event at 2 p.m. and find out if you’re a winner! The winner will receive $1,000; second through 10th place will win $100 each; and 11th through 20th place will each win $50. Duck race results will be posted at First State Bank and all bars. First State Bank will host Bingo and BBQ at 5 p.m. Get your dancing shoes on and attend the street dance in downtown Forsyth at 9 p.m. Enjoy music from the Limited Warranty, and be sure to sample food from local organizations. Bring the whole family to the event and enjoy a great day of chamber sponsored fun. For more information, e-mail the Chamber at forsythchamber@yahoo.com or call (406) 347-5656.
