Elton John’s favorite camp of Summer! Rocket Camp is a great introduction to payloads in model rocketry. Learn about the forces acting on a rocket while in flight, parts of rockets, stages of rocket flight, rocket motors, staging and the physics of motion and aerodynamics. Participants will build two model rockets capable of carrying a payload, and launch them twice. Payloads will include a raw egg and an altimeter. Space is limited. Babysitters Camp Looking to learn how to be a better babysitter? This camp will teach the safety skills and confidence to be a great babysitter. Kids in the Kitchen Come make a mess this summer in our kitchen! We provide young chefs the opportunity to find success preparing their favorite dishes. Safety is important during this class and kitchen etiquette is taught to ensure each participant is safe. Each day of class will have its own theme and will build on the lessons learned in the previous week. Bring your creativity and appetite for this exciting class. Campers must be signed in and out daily by their Parent/Guardian.

We will explore different painting techniques and styles while trying our hand at landscapes, florals and animals subjects. Tippet Rise Art Center is located in Fishtail, Montana, against the backdrop of the Beartooth Mountains. Set on a 10,260-acre working sheep and cattle ranch, Tippet Rise hosts classical chamber music and exhibits large-scale, outdoor sculptures. Tippet Rise celebrates the concept that art, music, architecture, and nature are inextricably linked in the human experience, each making the others more powerful. Register to be bused out to the art center, where a trained Tippet Rise Tour Guide will take over. The tour includes some walking, but accommodations are available. Lunch will not be provided; however, you can pack a lunch or purchase lunch after the tour at the art center. The timeline for this tour is as follows: Meet at the Billings Community and Senior Center to get on the bus at 8:00am. Arrive at the Tippet Rise Art Center at 9:30am. Begin outdoor art center tour at 10:00am. Lunch break from 12:30-1:30pm. Leave Tippet Rise at 2:00pm. Arrive in Billings at 3:30pm.

Interested in learning about the history and art of Eastern Montana? Join us as we take a day long guided tour to Miles City with the following activities: Visiting the famous Range Riders museum, dining at Miles City’s downtown local bakery, the Main Street Grind, and viewing the exhibits at the Waterworks Art Museum. Register to be bused out to the museums where tour guides will take over. This tour will include some walking, but accommodations are available. Lunch will not be provided, however, you are welcome to pack a lunch or purchase food at the Main Street Grind.
Range Riders Museum
Located just outside of downtown Miles City, the Range Riders Museum is home to over 13 acres of Eastern Montana History. These exhibits cover: the dinosaurs; the history of the Native Americans who lived in this area for millennia; the soldiers and the pioneers who took over this harsh land.
Main Street Grind
Located in historic downtown Miles City, the Main Street Grind is a local bakery specializing in baked goods, bread, coffee, sandwiches, and burgers.
WaterWorks Art Museum
Located in a park overlooking the Yellowstone River, the Museum is housed in the concrete basins of the 1910 WaterWorks that produced Miles City’s drinking water for over sixty years. Waterworks Art Museum proudly maintains a permanent collection of contemporary and historic selections on rotation in the Gallery. This includes Miles City Vintage photographs by notable photographers of the late 1800’s including: Christian Barthelmess, Lady Evelyn Cameron, Robert C. Morrison, Albert Schlichting, Edward S. Curtis & the renowned L.A. Huffman.
