Family & Group Whitewater Rafting Billings Parks and Recreation invites you, your family/friends, or small group to come on a white water rafting adventure with us! Absarokee River Adventures out of Absarokee, MT will guide groups of 5-8 on a raft down the Stillwater. If you register as an individual in a group, you will be able to have a group raft reservation. Transportation is provided by Billings Parks and Recreation for the entire trip. Our office will also handle raft reservations. Please pack sunscreen, swim suit, towel, water shoes, water and a sack lunch. Bus leaves from Billings Parks & Recreation office (390 N. 23rd St) promptly at 8:30am and returns at an estimated time of 4:00pm.

Adult class instruction includes everything you need to know about fly fishing! Learn how to set up and fish streamers, nymph’s and dry flies, tie knots, etc. Learn what fish feed on, keys to successful fly fishing, and “hands-on” casting practice. Plan to bring your fly rod for the Saturday casting practice, the location will be determined during class.

Youth Cycling Camp Billings Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Kids In Motion, will be providing a new Cycling Camp geared toward navigating cycling in all aspects. Safety instruction will be emphasized, along with proper bike maintenance and care. Throughout the course of camp, participants can expect to gain confidence and experience new thrills on the bike, learn to use their bikes for transportation, and learn to safely navigate the many different types of terrain that Riverfront Park has to offer. Kids In Motion will be providing each camper with a basic tool kit and help show campers how to use these tools. Come get your bike running properly and keep it that way! Participants are expected to have their own bike, helmet, and water bottle. Helmets are required. Scholarships available see page 77 for details.
