Some scholars suggest WWII is actually a continuation of WWI, with a break in between. Some events from WW1 led to the creation of WW2, like how hitler got affected by the war, the treaty of Versailles affect on Germany, and Political turmoil left by WW1 creating Fascist governments.
Fascism At the end of WW1 lots of countries were in turmoil and it was creating Fascist governments. A Fascist government is a government that is extremely authoritarian, right wing government, like Germany for instance, when it was controlled by hitler. Italy is another example of this because it was a fascist government that helped to create WW2. According to suunysuffolk “Fascism was an ideology which glorified the military, denounced international organizations and cooperation, and considered war an acceptable means for achieving national goals.” This basically states that countries who were fascist were more likely to start wars and less likely to work with the international community. Therefore making WW1’s political turmoil turn governments into governments who think going to war is good.

Hitlers Beliefs Hitler was in WW1 and this may have led him to make the assumptions that we know he made. One of those beliefs is that people who were a different religion were bad and needed to be killed or kicked out of the country. This may have come from WW1 because hitler believed that Germany was a superior country
World War Facts
Hitler designed the Nazi flag. Red stood for the social idea of Nazism, white for nationalism, and the black swastika for the struggle of the Aryan man.
The word Holocaust is from the Greek words ""holos" (whole) and "kaustos" (burned)”
It is estimated that 1.5 million children died during the Holocaust. Approximately 1.2 million of them were Jewish and tens of thousands were Gypsies.
and could not have lost without a betrayal and hitler believed that the betrayal was caused by anyone who was of a different religion. According to History.com “He hoped to carry out a program calling for the restructuring of Germany on a racist (sic) basis so that it could win a series of wars to expand the German people’s living space until they dominated and exclusively inhabited the globe.” This shows that hitler had created these beliefs and it may all have been made by traumatic situation in WW1.
The Treaty of Versicles The treaty of versailles from WW1 created by the allied powers forced Germany to do many things and Germany didn’t like it and were unhappy enough to start a war. The treaty made Germany pay huge sums of money, give away land, and accept the damage that had been done to the country without making another country fix it. Japan also thought this was unfair and they were on Germany's side of the war. according to History.com “...Hitler denounced the treaty altogether in 1935. From March 1937 through March 1939, Hitler overturned the territorial provisions of the treaty with respect to Austria, Czechoslovakia, and Memel, with at least the tacit consent of the western powers. On September 1, 1939, he attacked Poland to alter that frontier, as well.” This shows that when Hitler came to power he was very unhappy with the treaty and decided to violate it and start attacking other countries which brought the start of WW2. Therefore the treaty of versailles may have been a little to strict and making Germany want to rebel and start the war. To sum up this essay WW1 had many events that led to the cause WW2. some of these events were, how hitler got affected by WW1, the treaty of Versailles affect on Germany, and the political Turmoil left by WW1 creating Fascist governments. Do you think WW1 was a continuation of WW2?
The war began because of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. He was heir to throne of Austria-Hungary and his death was the immediate cause of WW1.
World War 1 has many different names. It was called The Great War, the World War, the War to End all Wars, World War 1, WW1, the War of the Nations and more. page 2
