The Holocaust 1933-1945

OVER 6 MILLION JEWS IMPACTED Â How it started and who/what was involved

The Holocaust 1933-1945 June 5th, 2017 Nick Lund

A concentration camp in Dachau, Munich, Germany

There were over 40,000 concentration camps all across europe during the holocaust. This image of the Dachau concentration camp was the very first one made. Concentration camps were used as a form of prison but you always have a death sentence.

The daily life of a Jew in germany

Jews in Germany after the Nuremberg Laws A Jew would be worried even leaving his or her living facility because all Jews in Germany were hated and persecuted. If a Jew had any sort of relation to a german, or protested about the new law they would be beaten or thrown into a concentration camp.

Germany has the biggest impact on people (Berlin Boxing Club In the late 1930’s and early 1940’s Jews all across Europe feared that they would be killed by a german soldier. In 1938 Adolf HItler and the Nazi party rose to power and started their reign over germany. In this book Berlin Boxing Club Karl Stern faces conflicts in his school, in his daily life and in his personal life. In Karl’s school life he is harassed and beaten up for being a Jew. In the beginning of the book he is beaten to a bloody mess, and spit on by a gang in his school that beats up the anti-germans in the school. Once a law is passed the school gets rid of the Jews in the school and people chase them out of the school and beat up one of them. When Karl has to transfer to a Jewish school he is laughed at because he doesn’t practice or believe in the jewish religion. “Our government has just passed some new laws that it is my honor and duty to tell you about. They are called the Nuremberg Laws, and they have been carefully designed to protect and secure the purity of German blood against the insidious influence of the Jews.” This shows that the new law the school is using gets rid of the Jews in the school and Germany. In Karl’s daily life he has a lot of conflicts with a lot of people that he sees in a day. Karl has a german friend (greta) and they are very good friends which starts a lot of conflicts with the people around them. Karl is a boxer and he is being taught by a german professional boxer named Max Schmeling, and when Karl is in a championship match he is removed for being jewish and Max and his associate had already been accused for humiliating germany when his associate had saluted “incorrectly” after a victory. Karl is impacted by the Nuremberg Laws and is criticized almost everywhere he goes for being a Jew. Karl’s family has a lot of issues when it comes to the Nuremberg Laws because they are Jewish. Karl’s father is an artist and sells his artwork to people in Germany, but when the Germans are no longer able to communicate with the Jews his father runs out of business and money. Karl’s uncle is put into a concentration camp for fighting for the Jewish rights in germany and Karl’s family doesn’t know what to do. When Karl gets caught with Greta his family is forced to move out of the apartment that they are living in. “I’m afraid that given the circumstances, I’m going to have to ask you to move out.”(222) This is when Karl and his family are forced to move out because of what Karl was accused of doing. This shows how in the late 1930’s and early 1940’s the Jews all across Europe feared that they could be harassed or put in a concentration camp. Karl Stern faces these fears himself in this book. My evidence in this book makes sense because it shows how the topic impacts Karl's life.

Adolf HItler and the Holocaust Nobody actually knows why Adolf Hitler hated the Jews but his proved a fiery hatred for the Jewish religion. The Nazis were on a mission to get rid of Jews in Europe, and they weren’t going to stop. The Nuremberg Laws pushed the leaders forward to get the Jews put in concentration camps or out of Germany.

This time period changed the lives of many Jews in europe. Credit to images: https://www.britannica.com/place/Dachau-concentration-camp-Germany https://www.ushmm.org/collections/bibliography/daily-life-in-the-concentration-camps http://holywar.org/S35.htm
