withdraw its troops from Indochina while Vietnam was temporarily divided into North and South Vietnam, led by Ho Chi Minh and Bao Dai. The Vietnam War was one of the worst in American history because it used a draft to enlist soldiers to fight against their will, was fought in dangerous and horrible conditions, and thousands of Americans were killed. The Vietnam war was one of America’s worst wars, The US send in 8,744,000 troops to fight with the north side. After some time the United States government was telling the citizens of the country that if they wanted to go fight, a lot of the people said that this war isn’t our war, we shouldn’t be fighting, In the other hand some people thought that ok I will go. There wasn’t a lot of people that wanted to go to the war, so the government decided to do a draft. They drafted more than 500,000 people. On Vietnam the conditions were horrible the terrain was horrible everything was horrible. There was one thing that killed a lot of innocent people this thing is called agent orange. Agent orange is a toxic waste that the U.S army used to find enemies that are hiding behind trees. This gas did a lot of damage to U.S troops, some people died and some people got a sick and then die. 58,000 Americans died on that war. A war that wasn’t ours, a war that we shouldn’t be in. A lot of people die, the conditions were horrible, there was a lot of dangerous things there, you wouldn’t know if there was an enemy behind you. It was one of America's worst wars in history
